Steps to Get Admission in Central Universities Through CUET 2026

Don't know how to get admission at central universities through CUET? Candidates aspiring to get admission to undergraduate courses based on CUET UG scores at their target central university are required to fill out the CUET UG exam form and appear for the exam. After CUET 2026 for the UG subjects is successfully conducted, the National Testing Agency announces the CUET UG Result, based on which candidates can participate in their target university's admission process, if eligible.

1. Fill CUET exam form

First of all, candidates are required to fill out and submit the CUET application form by mentioning all the required details and uploading the prescribed documents. 

2. Take CUET exam

Registered candidates must appear for the CUET UG exam at the allotted exam centre on the prescribed date and time. Candidates can check their exam schedule on the CUET admit card. To increase their possibility of securing a seat at the target university, candidates must attain a good CUET score.

3. Fill University Counselling Form

For admission to undergraduate programmes at central universities accepting CUET UG scores, aspirants must ensure they meet CUET UG eligibility criteria. Candidates can check eligibility requirements for their desired UG course either on Shiksha page, on university's official website, or in admission brochure. 

Apart from the course-wise eligibility requirements set by each university, the following are the minimum eligibility requirements that a candidate must meet.

• The candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination recognized by the target university
• The CUET application must have appeared for the UG subjects based on the CUET UG subject combination of the university.
• The aspirant must meet the Age Criteria of the university, if any.

CUET UG 2026 Admission in Central Universities: Application Form

To participate in CUET UG admission process of central universities, candidates are required to fill CUET UG application form. The National Testing Agency released CUET 2026 online form at cuet.nta.nic.in on January 03. After closing the registration window, NTA also opened CUET correction window for registered candidates to make changes in their online form, if required.

5. Upload required documents as mentioned above in prescribed format.
6. Pay CUET Application Fee online
7. Save copy of CUET Application Form and fee receipt.

To participate in the CUET 2026 central universities admission process, candidates are required to follow this process.

1. Visit target CUET central university's official website.
2. Navigate and click on CUET UG 2026 Admission or relevant tab for admission portal.
3. Click on New Registration Tab.
4. Fill university specific CUET 2026 application form by entering all required details, including preferred course and college.
5. Submit application form by paying required fee.
6. Check out your CUET UG score against cut off list released by university.
7. If eligible, secure seat and participate in CUET UG 2026 Counselling Process of university.
8. Pay remaining CUET admission fee (if applicable).
