SIMATS does not offer a direct admission to B.Tech. An entrance exam is required.
The admission process for B.Tech is as follows:
- The JEE Mains and TNCE exams are used to provide admission at SIMATS
- Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their enterance exam scores are required to attend counselling sessions where they can select the B.Tech specialisation they want.
- The final merit list is prepared using factors other than JEE, such as 12th standard marks.
Here are the last dates for applying to SIMATS into various courses:
- MBA: 2nd week of March 2024 is the deadline for online applications.
- The 4th week of April 2024 is the deadline for BDS online applications.
- B.Tech: The first week of May 2024
- The 1st week of June 2024 is the deadline for M.Tech applications.
- 2024, B.Sc. Nursing: before July 2
- The 3rd week of May 2024 is the deadline for MDS applications.

Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) offers a variety of scholarships depending on extracurricular and academic accomplishments rather than a universal 100% scholarship. Students who have qualified for JEE-Main or have achieved 80% or higher in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible for a 50% fee scholarship offered by the institution. Based on their degree of accomplishment, SIMATS offers scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% of tuition fees in recognition of students' excellence in sports. No, students cannot be admitted to Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences without undergoing entrance exams. Also, when you take admission in the institute through the entrance exam, you are admitted in the 1st year.
