    SIMATS does not offer a direct admission to B.Tech. An entrance exam is required.
    The admission process for B.Tech is as follows:

    • The JEE Mains and TNCE exams are used to provide admission at SIMATS
    • Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their enterance exam scores are required to attend counselling sessions where they can select the B.Tech specialisation they want.
    • The final merit list is prepared using factors other than JEE, such as 12th standard marks.

    Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) offers a variety of scholarships depending on extracurricular and academic accomplishments rather than a universal 100% scholarship. Students who have qualified for JEE-Main or have achieved 80% or higher in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible for a 50% fee scholarship offered by the institution. Based on their degree of accomplishment, SIMATS offers scholarships ranging from 10% to 50% of tuition fees in recognition of students' excellence in sports. Athletes competing at the national level are eligible for a 50% scholarship, those competing at the state, district, and zonal levels for 25%, and 10% of the scholarships, respectively.

    After deducting administrative fees, funds are reimbursed to students who opt to withdraw their acceptance prior to the final day of admission.
    Usually, 1-2 weeks after classes begin, the deadline for admissions is reached.
    The following guidelines will apply to refunds in the event that a student departs after the final admissions date:
    Refundable 75% of fees if departure occurs within 30 days before the deadline (registration expenses excluded).
    Refundable 50% of fees if departure occurs within 30 to 90 days.
    If you depart after the final admittance date, you won't get a refund.
    A refund application must be completed.

    Best college for dentistry and a person out of Saveetha knows anything and everything clinically.
    Placements: There's nothing called placements after Dentistry. It's studying further or starting to work on your bachelor degree. Studying at Saveetha Dental College, you come out will skills in all departments which can easily fetch you work anywhere. Undergraduates place implants, do complete dentures, molar RCTs and what not. There's everything you learn about in here.
    Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure, to be honest. There are separate basic sciences building and separate clinical building. Saveetha is first in everything. It has got its oncology department, CAD-CAM. The latest technology in all departments. It has got a separate lab for technicians and also undergraduate labs for learning pre-clinics.
    Faculty: Lots of faculty in each department with lots of experience. The course is 5-year duration which includes one year of internship. The faculty is very friendly and anytime go to. We treat patients on a daily basis and have clinical postings which cover cases in all departments.
    Other: We have got inter-college cultural, and also participates in various other college cultural fests. There is an amazing auditorium with the latest facilities. It has the got a sports ground which can be used for cricket, football, volleyball, throw-ball, basketball court.

    To get MBBS at Saveetha University (under management quota), you need around 500–530+ marks in NEET (General category). Cutoff varies each year.

    The GATE exam will be conducted at SIMTS Chennai on February 1,2,15 and 16, 2025 with two shifts:

    Morning shift- (9:30am-12:30 pm) 

    Afternoon shift- (2:30 pm-5:30pm)

    No, students cannot be admitted to Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences without undergoing entrance exams. Also, when you take admission in the institute through the entrance exam, you are admitted in the 1st year.
