One-Day Anti-Ragging Awareness Workshop Held at Techno India University, Tripura

May 28, 2025: Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT), organized a one-day workshop on “Anti-Ragging Awareness” at its university campus in Agartala. The event aimed to educate students about the serious implications of ragging and to promote a safe and inclusive campus environment.

President of the Agartala Press Club and a member of the university’s Anti-Ragging Committee, Mr. Pranab Sarkar, delivered a powerful speech on the consequences of ragging. He also guided students on the procedures to follow in case of any such incident. Expressing satisfaction, he noted that no complaints of ragging had been reported at TIUT, a matter of pride for the university.

Sub-Inspector Abhirup Das from Amtali Police Station addressed the legal aspects of ragging. He elaborated on the laws in place and the strict actions that can be taken against offenders.

The workshop concluded with a strong message of unity and awareness, reinforced through a street-play performance by university students, creatively portraying the mental and emotional impact of ragging.

The university community, including faculty, staff, and a large number of students, actively participated in the programme. The event successfully conveyed the message that ragging has no place in educational institutions and highlighted the collaborative efforts required to eliminate it.

Techno India University, Tripura, Hosts University Week with Grand Inauguration

TIUT and Hanoi University sign MoU To Boost International Academic Collaboration

August 27, 2024: Techno India University Tripura (TIUT) signed a MoU with Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) to signal an important milestone towards international academic collaboration. The agreement between the HaUI and TIUT aims to prioritise academic exchanges, collaborative research initiatives, joint degree programs, and faculty and student exchanges. The MOU is expected to pave the way for future collaborative efforts to strengthen academic links between India and Vietnam.

The goal of the agreement is to assist in developing a skilled workforce and boost research in critical areas of mutual interest. The relationship between the two universities also connects with both institutions' goals of expanding their worldwide reach and effect.

The signing event came to an end with an exchange of mementos and a group photo, signifying the start of a successful partnership between the Techno India University Tripura and Hanoi University of Industry.

Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. Prof. Manik Saha Inaugurates Annual Photography Exhibition at Techno India University, Tripura

 

August 21, 2024: The Annual Photography Exhibition of Techno India University on World Photography Day was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Prof. Manik Saha, PhD. This event, which focuses on the art of photography as a means of preserving culture, history, and life, was attended by students, enthusiasts, and professional photographers from the area.
Apart from tourism, the participant's success in coming up with such creative work impressed Dr. Prof. Manik Saha, an educationist who loves art and culture. On this occasion, he stressed on how photography plays a crucial role in capturing this cultural legacy as well as the transformations happening in the society. He also had conversations with students and professionals and insisted on their further work on documenting and perpetuating the ethnographic and cultural heritage of Tripura.
Many different kinds of photos were presented at the exhibition: portraits, landscapes, and documentaries; all of them depicted different facets of life in Tripura. The Chief Minister showed a lot of interest in the display and was very appreciative of the efforts of the photographers to show the beauty and the dynamics of the world.

Milestone Achievement: AICTE Approval for Techno India University

July 16, 2024: Techno India University has achieved a significant milestone by securing accreditation from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for the academic year 2024-25. This recognition places them as the sole private university in the state to hold this distinction. The AICTE approval signifies a rigorous evaluation process, ensuring the university adheres to high academic standards and quality education.

This accreditation covers undergraduate programs, including Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, Business Administration (BBA), and Computer Applications (BCA). Each course has a seat intake of 60 students, allowing for a focused learning environment.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ratan Kumar Saha highlighted the numerous advantages this approval brings to students. The AICTE accreditation serves as a mark of quality, assuring students and their families that the university is committed to delivering exceptional education and infrastructure. Techno India University's Medharatna 1.0 was inaugurated at Dharmanagar

July 16, 2024: Techno India University, Tripura's Medharatna 1.0 was inaugurated at the Ardhendu Bhattacharya Smriti Bhawan in Dharmanagar on Monday in a grand ceremony. The event saw the presence of notable figures such as University Vice Chancellor Dr. Ratan Kumar Saha, North District Education Department OSD Kriti Sundar Dey, and Dharmanagar Press Club President Palas Sen.

Thirty-six schools from North and Unakoti districts participated, with five outstanding students from each school being felicitated for their achievements at the secondary or higher secondary levels. Additionally, dedicated teachers from various schools were honored for their tireless efforts in educating the youth.

"Now, with the inauguration of Techno India University at Maheshkhola in Agartala, common people will have a proper place for higher education," said Dr. Saha, Vice Chancellor of the university. This new facility is expected to inspire students and enhance their academic pursuits at the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and PhD levels.

Techno India University, Tripura B.Sc. Agriculture Students Gain Practical Insights at Horticultural Research Centre, Nagichera

May 20, 2024: In order to improve the practical knowledge of its B.Sc. Agriculture students, Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) is committed to giving them vital field exposure. The university arranged an educational visit to the Horticultural Research Centre (HRC) Nagichera during their Fall Semester as a way of demonstrating this commitment. At the HRC Nagichera farm, which is run by the Directorate of Agriculture, the students investigated a variety of agricultural and horticultural fields under the distinguished direction of Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Ratan Kumar Saha. Advanced technologies in horticultural vegetable and fruit production were demonstrated by department officials and the center's in-charge, Dr. Rajib Ghosh.
