Students aspiring to pursue MBA at PUMBA should appear for common aptitude test (CAT), CMAT or MH- CET. On the basis of cutoffs, students get admitted followed up by counselling process.

PUMBA conducts it's own entrance examination Online entrance Examination (OEE) headed by Savitribai Phule Pune University. In general, the highest cutoffs of the MBA courses at PUMBA Pune have been above 95 percentiles. the highest cutoff for all the programmes of MBA at PUMBA Pune for the year 2023 has been 98.69 percentile which is relatively less than year 2021. The cut off percentile is calculated on the basis of performance in MAHCET. However, cutoffs remain lower for the CAT applicants.
