Students can get Admission in undergraduate programme like BBA after passing higher secondary class with more than 45 percents in any stream. While, MBA students are eligible only after appearing aptitude tests like CAT, CMAT or MHCET. For MBA students are advised to apply for entrance conducted by Maharashtra Authority.

The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing Masters degree in Business Administration at PUMBA is possession of undergraduate degree with minimum 50 percent in any discipline from any recognised college. For MBA, at this college, a student must have at least 45% marks in 10+2 standard from an recognised board. and should have a valid score in entrance exams like  ATMA UG  or MH-CET UG. As of 2023 the cutoff of MBA at DY Patil University of general category was between 87 to 89 %, for Sc 82 to 84%, and for OBC category 85 to 87% approximately .
