In most cases, no you can not directly take admission in third year of B.Com when you fail in the 1 st year and then you take a free year. Academic progression rules in University are normally severe. It is most likely that you would be required to re-enrol during the first year or the second year at worst, in the event that you pass your failed subjects upon the discretion of the university regarding the re-admission policy. A gap year does not automatically lead to a promotion since there is a normal practice of having a backlog of failed subjects, especially at the advanced years. You are required to talk to the admission or registrar office at the university in order to get their unique steps towards re-admission following academic failure and an interruption to study.

The University of Mumbai declared the TYBBI (3-year BBI) Semester 6 results along with other final-year results in April 2025, similar to the timelines for BA, BCom, and BSc. The results were released online via the official MUMResults portal. If your result isn't visible yet, check with your college or make sure your details (like ABC ID) are updated. In most cases, students saw their TYBBI Sem 6 results by late April or early May 2025, so you should expect yours around the same time this year. Keep an eye on the university's results website and stay in touch with your department for exact confirmation.
