The admission process is completely merit and entrance-based for all its UG, PG and doctoral-level courses. MU application form 2023 was released on May 27. The application process of MU is followed by the release of its first, second and third merit lists in June and July. The university offers over 200 UG, PG, diploma, doctoral, and certificate programmes in various fields, such as Engineering, Arts, Science and Arts. All these are offered via over 50 Departments, 12 specialised centres, 781 affiliated colleges, two main campuses, two sub-campuses and two Model Colleges.

XII) examination or equivalent qualification of any board in India or abroad, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Life Sciences (and desirably with Mathematics) or if the result of the examination has been declared, he/she must have passed the same examination with minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together (40% for the Reserve Category candidates).- The selection process is done through an online proctor-based entrance test conducted by the university.The total intake capacity for B.Tech programs is 240 students per year.
