Vivekananda Global University Concludes The Two-day Curriculum Conclave ‘Saaransh’

June 1, 2023: On Sunday, the two-day Curriculum Conclave "Saaransh" at the Vivekananda Global University, an NAAC A+ accredited university, came to an end. Leading education experts urged higher education institutions to overcome obstacles in the implementation of the new National Education Policy (NEP), saying that it could make India the "Vishwa Guru."  Experts from all around the country discussed the NEP, the difficulties in implementing it, and the creation of a curricula that satisfies the NEP's objectives throughout the two days of the conclave.

The entire conclave was split into seven sessions, each of which focused on one or more core NEP areas. These sessions included developing a start-up culture in the university, promoting multidisciplinary core and open elective courses, ensuring quality teaching pedagogy, fine-tuning academic regulations and implementing e-governance, balancing extracurricular and curricular activities, evaluation reforms, industry-led courses, and MOOCs. The session for the final day was introduced by Dr. Shakeela Shamsu, a former OSD for the NEP at the department of higher education of the government of India. She noted that because the NEP was aspirational in nature, there would be some early implementation difficulties. She claimed that in order to provide practical pathways, academic reform was necessary. The program ended with the vote of thanks by VGU’s dignitaries. The teachers at VGU were quite enthusiastic about organising "Saaransh" to put the new education strategy into practice, and every teacher took part. The two-day "Summary" programme for implementing the New Education Policy was divided into a total of seven sessions, with time set aside in the final portion of each session for questions and answers to help teachers from VGU better understand how the NEP is being implemented. The new education policy will be put into effect at VGU, the first university in Rajasthan, in the upcoming session.

It is a good college but can be improved in some places.

Placements: Almost everyone gets the opportunity to get placed, and the maximum package as well as minimum package is also good. The previous year's batch got so many good companies and even got the full support of the training and placement cell. Overall, everything is well balanced.

I am Vanish, I am pursuing B.Tech.

Placements: In this college, the 2025 passout total is 120 students in CSE, and all are unemployed. No company has come; it is a waste of money. I have given 6 lakhs, but have not received any internship or placement. 0% placement; all students are moving. No company visits this college like TCS, Infosys, IBM, Cognizant. All are fake placement records. 54 Lacs is the highest, and the average is 4 Lacs.

All you need to know about VGU before taking admission :)

Placements: Mainly there are only good placements in the Science and Management departments; other than that, the placement condition is quite bad. You will only get placement if you have managed your score from the very beginning. The highest package is 17 LPA. Only 3% of students get placement in good companies; the rest get companies that offered 2-3 LPA.

It is good to take admission. Placements, facilities, teachers, and environment are all good.

Placements: Recently, there have been good placements for our seniors in a good company. The lowest package is 2 LPA. ACCA is an international course, so students can do a job in India and outside India. Internship in our college starts from the 2nd semester and is compulsory for every student, as ACCA requires 36 months of practical experience. The college helps students get good internships.

It is a very good college, but students should be active and intelligent.

Placements: Around 70% of students got placed in our course. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package ranges between 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course included Lenskart, Genpact, Agrostar, etc. Around 98% of students got internships in reputed companies. Some top roles offered are sales executive, agribusiness manager, supply chain analyst, and marketing associate.

My thoughts on VGU Jaipur.

Placements: Overall, the placement stats are not up to the mark, as companies do visit the campus, but it is all on the student to crack the offer. One must not rely solely on campus placement and should try off-campus for better opportunities. Companies offer positions for research assistants and sales executives, paying around 4 to 6 lakh for these jobs. Around 50 percent of students are placed, while the rest are either unplaced or pursue further studies.
