Xavier School of Human Settlements, Xavier University Bhubaneswar accepts students to its M.Plan program without GATE. Application is submitted through institute direct admission process. Academic transcript/statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, and work experience are considered for admission to the program. Moreover, a minimum percentage in qualifying exams and proficiency in English are also to be met by one's self, and the aptness of the candidate may even be sought through personal interview. Whereas GATE score is widely accepted in admissions in M.Plan programs in India, a few universities offer alternative pathways for students not holding GATE score but showing great promise and motivation in pursuing their career as an urban planner. Academic achievement, passion in urban planning, and relevant experience will enhance the possibility of getting admission in Xavier School of Human Settlements without GATE score.

Eligibility Criteria: The percentage of aggregate marks obtained by a candidate in the bachelor's degree must have been completed in Architecture, Planning, Civil Engineering or any related field from a recognized university 55%.3.
