The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, provides funding for the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Gangtok, a unit of NIELIT Institutes that was founded in 2010. This college provides short-term, non-formal education in the field of information, electronics, and communication technologies (IECT).
