Accommodations near SIESCOMS

An overview

Since SIESCOMS does not offer a full-time residential PGDM or MMS program, there are currently no hostel facilities available on its campus premise. However, the college does assist in making some arrangements exclusively for its female outstation students to find accommodation that is just a walking distance from the college. Also, there are numerous flats in close proximity to the college for students to choose as per their liking and convenience. The occupancy in these rental flats may vary from single occupancy to a group of four. SIESCOMS has acquired accommodation of about 20 rooms (for 40 female students) adjacent to the college premises.

Cost & Amenities

The monthly rent price per person can start from about INR 3,000 and go up to INR 10,000 (or even more) as per the location and amenities on offer. As the suburb of Nerul (in which SIES is located) is well-developed, one can safely expect the available accommodation options to be in overall good condition. There are some basic facilities available in such accommodation, such as Wi-Fi, 24x7 power backup, AC, laundry, etc., as per the flat chosen.

The hostel's proximity to SIESCOMS

Considering the overall feedback from the hostelites, all the amenities provided have mostly been just about okay. Due to good road and rail connectivity, as well as an affordable public transportation system throughout Navi Mumbai, students should face no major difficulties in getting to college, even if they live in slightly further PGs or rental flats.SIES is approximately 15–20 minutes' walk from both the Nerul railway station and a major highway that connects Navi Mumbai and Mumbai. There is always a significant number of outstation students enrolling in the various PGDM and MMS courses at SIES, so finding a good share-based accommodation would not be a big deal.

Mess & Transport Facilities

Expectedly, there are no mess fees charged by the college authorities to the outstation students during their hostel stay. Considering the abundant student population in the college vicinity, one can make good use of a general mess service if needed. One thing to note is that the mess service may mostly serve vegetarian food and South Indian cuisine considering the nearby demographics. There is a basic college canteen as well as some eating joints located nearby too, which the students can avail of. The rental options are available in both 1 BHK and 2 BHK, which may be fully as well as half-furnished near the college campus. There is no transport facility provided by the college officials to any of its outstation students; students need to make their own arrangements to reach the college on all occasions.

Conclusion

Even if SIESCOMS does not provide any hostel accommodation on its own for now, one won’t find any major issues in finding an affordable and convenient place close to the college. With so many educational institutions in the college area, it's easy to find a safe, single- or shared-occupancy room with all the necessities. However, the college intends to build a hostel of its own in the near future.
