SIESCOMS has been built with the aim of combining a great physical infrastructure with a robust academic ambience that is essential for any B-school to thrive.

SIESCOMS is one of the few B-schools across Mumbai that has decently-sized playgrounds within the campus itself.

The SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS) is located in Nerul (known as the academic hub of Navi Mumbai). The B-school was established in the year 1995, with a view to offer quality management education to talented candidates, who would go on to become the dynamic future managers of the 21st century.

Connectivity to SIESCOMS

SIESCOMS is built over a land of three acres and is well-connected by both rail and road; 20 minutes walking distance from Nerul railway station and a 15 minutes walk from a highway that connects Mumbai and Pune. SIESCOMS doesn’t provide any transportation facility on its own; the public transport itself is pretty affordable and quick. The very foundation of SIESCOMS maps its roots to the rich tradition of the South India Education Society (SIES), one of the oldest educational trusts that run several educational institutes across Mumbai as well as Navi Mumbai.

SIESCOMS Campus

SIESCOMS has been built with the aim of combining a great physical infrastructure with a robust academic ambience that is essential for any B-school to thrive. The campus area houses many excellent facilities to ensure the students’ stay remains smooth and memorable. To begin with, there is a large auditorium with an accommodation capacity of about 225 people at any given time. It has 18 spacious air-conditioned classrooms and each of them has an LCD projector. The campus also has four large seminar halls that are mainly dedicated to the purpose of Management Development Programs. There are 400 networked terminals across the entire campus that have a broadband internet facility of up to 10 MB. The campus also hosts multiple cells such as a Research Cell, Career Counselling and Placement Cell and a Grievance Cell. SIESCOMS is one of the few B-schools across Mumbai that has decently-sized playgrounds within the campus itself. There are several small student meeting points created across the entire campus on each floor.

Q:   Does SIES College of Management Studies provide good placement facilities?
A:
On the basis of Shiksha verified reviews, SIES College of Management Studies has a rating of 5 on the basis of 1 reviews by Shiksha verified students.

There is also a large student activity centre, along with a cafeteria, a gymnasium, an ATM, an amphitheatre, a medical store, a yoga and meditation area, a recreation room, and a common room each for boys and girls. Just like any reputed B-school, SIESCOMS has a well-equipped library that has over 35,000 hard copies worth of reading material, along with a reading room. SIESCOMS has a total of seven computer labs (three in the basement and four on the third floor), which are open from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and till 5:00 PM on Sundays. It is pre-loaded with the latest software and hardware. The college also houses a well-functioning administrative block and various rooms for the faculty. One peculiarity about SIESCOMS is its MOODLE (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment), which serves the function of an open-source learning management system. All the in-house courses and their respective reading materials are uploaded on MOODLE at the institute’s server.

Accommodation at SIESCOMS

However, the college doesn’t provide in-house hostel accommodation for its students. Hence, students stay in rented flats (usually starting from about INR 5,000 per month) in the college vicinity as per their convenience. Nerul being an educational hub has various conveniently-priced stay options available around the college. The B-school already provides a stay option of 20 rooms (housing 40) only for its female students above a major retail store, which is adjacent to the college premise.

To conclude, the lush green and expansive spread of the SIESCOMS campus ensures a warm welcome to every visitor. And the campus’ calmness, along with its good connectivity to both its nearby areas and Mumbai, offers a really good launchpad for its students.
