IMI Kolkata invites applications for PGDM 2020-22 batch
IMI - International Management Institute, Kolkata invites applications for Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course. It is a two-year dual-specialisation programme, which is designed to prepare students for career in corporate across all functional areas. The programme aims at inculcating strong sense of business fundamentals along with ethical values.
Started in 1981 with a campus in New Delhi, International Management Institute (IMI) was India’s first corporate-sponsored business school. Today, IMI Kolkata ranks 45 in the India Ranking Report released by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
IMI-K’s PGDM programme also has accreditation from NBA and MBA degree equivalence from AIU. It is also approved by AICTE.
IMI-K is well-known for its industry alliances. It has 100 per cent placement track record since its inception. A total of 116 offers were made to the 2017-19 batch by 47 companies. The highest package was Rs 20 LPA and the average package offered was Rs 11.45 LPA.
Not just the placements, but the internship opportunities are also equally challenging. Students are put into live projects with an intent to make them experience real life industrial situations and they get to perform under proper mentorship. This year, 185 internship offers were made with 63,100 average stipend to the top 10 per cent of all applicants.
To give global experience to the students, the institute facilitates international student exchange opportunity where they are given a chance to explore opportunities and make strong industrial connections.
To apply for this course, a student must have:
- Three-year’s bachelor degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised University with at-least 50 per cent aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Students can either appear for CAT-2019, XAT-2020 OR GMAT (GMAT - not earlier than December, 2015 and not later than May, 2020).
Once the exam is cleared, the further selection process is conducted at different centers across India such as Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Ranchi, Jaipur, Dehradun, Varanasi and Mumbai.
If a candidate’s preferred centre is not allotted, for any reason, the candidate will be informed of the change. IMI Kolkata reserves the right to change or cancel any of the centers for the selection process, without assigning any reasons.
The application fee is Rs 1,000+GST at 18 per cent which need to be paid online to institute.
