IRMA Begins PGDM (RM) Batch of 2022 with 37% Female Students
September 1, 2020: Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) has commenced the classes of the first-year students of PGDM Rural Management programme batch 2020-22 in online mode. The classes began after a week of induction and orientation.
To mark the beginning of the orientation programme, the institute invited leaders of the corporate world – Gautam Adani, Chairman and Founder of the Adani Group; and Rajashree Birla, Chairperson of Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development, to enlighten students with their inspiring stories. In their speech, they focused on the need for empowering the rural society of India by reimagining the agriculture business model. They asked students to be curious, experiment and let the fear of failure go away.
Apart from this, students spent time in interacting with the faculty members, management of IRMA, various societies and committees that include placements department, Village Fieldwork Segment (VFS) and an alumni network.
To ensure the safety of the students while delivering the quality education to them, the institute has equipped eight classrooms with state-of-the-art IT infrastructure to facilitate learning. Platforms like Zoom and Google Meet are being utilised for seamless interaction between the faculty and students.
IRMA has not raised the PGDM(RM) 2020-22 batch fee in compliance with AICTE guidelines. The cost of the programme is the same as that of 2019-21 batch. And, moving forward with the institutes’ focus on encouraging gender diversity, IRMA confirms the admission of over 37 per cent female students this year. Out of the total batch of 252 students, there are 94 female students.
