Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida has its login portal called Moodle. It is a common platform for the students and the faculty. It is the one-stop solution for keeping a record of all activities. It is the digital interface between the students and the teachers.

Registration on Login Portal 

It starts with registering yourself on the platform. Once a student receives the login credentials, he/she must update his/her details on it. The details include all the personal information including D.O.B, address, contact details, parents’ information, either hostelers or a day scholar etc. Once done, the student can access the facilities of Moodle . 

Class links 

During the covid times, the online classes in Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida used to happen on the zoom platform. The links are uploaded on Moodle and students with the college IDs can only join the session. The recordings of the same also get uploaded for reference. So, in case a student misses any class, he/she can access the recording of that session.

Access to Assignments 

The subject faculty creates a submission link where the student can upload assignments and projects. It shows the deadline, and once the deadline is missed; the assignment cannot be submitted. The submission time is also reflected on the portal. 

The submitted assignments are scanned through the Turnitin platform. So, a student can check the plagiarism and if it exceeds the limit, one can resubmit the assignment after removing the plagiarised content. 

The plagiarism limit and the number of times an assignment can be submitted are decided by the respective faculties. 

Quizzes on Login Portal 

As a part of an internal assessment, quizzes are conducted in some courses. The faculty provides a password for accessing the same. These quizzes have multiple choice questions and a fixed duration to finish. 

Exams in Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida

The online exams are conducted through Moodle itself. The question papers are uploaded here that are accessible at the examination’s starting time. The student must join the zoom link throughout the exam duration and must keep the video on. 

After finishing the test, it needs to be submitted on the link provided on Moodle. There is a limit to plagiarism in exams as well, crossing which can cause a penalty. It can lead to marks deduction or even failure. 

Again, these limits are decided by the respective subject faculty.  

Result 

A detailed summary of the marks, which is the result is uploaded on Moodle. It contains the marks obtained and the CGPA. Results are available in both provisional and final formats. 

Attendance 

The track of attendance is monitored through Moodle. It keeps the record of details regarding the attendance including dates when a student was present/absent. The attendance is marked by the teacher either by calling out names during class or by checking the login duration. 

At the end of every session, the faculty gets a list of students, who attended the class and for how much time was he/she present. In case a student misses the attendance due to some reason, he can get it rectified within 24 hours by informing the subject teacher. 

Leaves 

For any kind of leave, one needs to get it approved through Moodle. There is a separate section for managing leaves. The student needs to apply for leave stating the reason and uploading the necessary supporting documents. The minimum attendance should be 75% in each subject. 

Fees 

A student can check the details regarding the fees and the relevant dates of payment. The fees are paid in instalments and the timeline of each can be seen on Moodle.  

Course Feedback 

The course feedback is submitted twice in each trimester. Students can rate the teaching experience of their subject teacher. It is done anonymously so that unbiased feedback can be submitted. 

Study material 

The study material that includes PPTs, newsletters and any other relevant stuff that the faculty wants to share can be found on Moodle. 

This portal is password protected and needs to be accessed every time one logs in. Students can even change their passwords. The parents are also given login credentials through which they can check their ward's performance.
