KSOM’s complete curriculum is industry-embedded, says Harsh Tekriwal
Three years ago, it was the first day of my graduation. Completely unaware of what was going to happen, how my life was going to change forever, I started my three years of journey at KIIT School of Management (KSOM).
The first thing that fascinated me was that every student was given equal attention. On the first day itself, every student is assigned one designated faculty member, who is then responsible to mentor students for the complete three years of journey. This was like a hand that helped to chart my growth, to focus on my weak points, and to give me a bond that I still cherish.
One of the best things about KSOM is it inherits a positive attitude and supportive nature in all its students. This is why the seniors of the college were so welcoming on the first day and helpful. It felt like a home away from home. The relationship with KSOM continued to grow with numerous meetings and social activities organised now and then. The events included dandiyas nights, Holi, Diwali festivities and many more. I was a proud Sanskriti club member so I always liked to organise related activities.
Exposure is the new competitive edge in the world today. KSOM is well aware of this. I did not see a school in Odisha which organises so many conferences, seminars and corporate interactions for its students. The complete curriculum in the school is industry-embedded and has been designed in a way to fulfil the industry needs of today and tomorrow. Every day comes with a new challenge at KSOM which give students the opportunity to coordinate, prepare and perform something new. Even the students of the first year are equally welcomed and accepted for suggestions.
The institute is known for its quality education and interactive curriculum. With all major giants and corporates participating in the placement season every year, the institute continues to place students for a kick start in their career. The recruiters include Bajaj Finserv, ITC Hotels, ICICI Prudential, SBI Cards and Payments, HDFC Life, Ema partners, The Hackett Group, Tata Technologies Limited, Deloitte, Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing and many more. In the recent placement session, a student bagged the highest package of 17.33 lakh per annum in international placements where the highest package in India stood at Rs 10 lakh per annum.
Whilst we had so much fun, we didn't release what we were learning! In a blink of an eye, three years passed at KSOM. Today I feel good about how far I've come, I know that I've got what it takes for a company to succeed.
Thank you KSOM for shaping my life. It is now time to shape our future.
