My aim is to venture out of my comfort zone and be open to the new experiences, says Divyanshu

To bring my dream come to reality, I started undergoing coaching classes after graduation for preparation for various management qualifying exams. I appeared for CAT, MAT and XAT scoring 72 percentile, 84 percentile and 59 percentile respectively. Basis the results, I started shortlisting colleges that accept scores of these entrance exams and started applying in those colleges. Among all the colleges where I was eligible to apply, I was majorly focusing on JK Business School

Like following a custom, majority of students end up choosing either Science or Commerce in class 11 disregarding other streams completely. I also joined the same rat race and opted for Science. As per our parents and society, becoming an Engineer or a Doctor is the only worthy option once you are a Science student. In my case, I had the awareness that I was not great in Biology and that I was not interested in Engineering. However, I still chose Science with Mathematics as the main subject because of my love for that. I also developed an interest in Statistics, which lead me to opt for a degree programme in Economics (Hons) in graduation. This paved the way for PGDM, as my career goal was to enter the corporate world.

To bring my dream come to reality, I started undergoing coaching classes after graduation for preparation for various management qualifying exams. I appeared for CAT (2017), MAT (2019) and XAT (2019) scoring 72 percentile, 84 percentile and 59 percentile respectively. Basis the results, I started shortlisting colleges that accept scores of these entrance exams and started applying in those colleges. Among all the colleges where I was eligible to apply, I was majorly focusing on JK Business School basis of the alumni reviews, the curriculum design, past placement trends and weel experienced faculty.

The admission process at JK Business School is broadly divided into two stages – Shortlisting of candidate basis the score of qualifying exam and MSG-WAT-PI (management Simulation Game – Written Aptitude Test – Personal Interview round). I got through with stage one basis my MAT exam results. In stage two, I was given a case study for detailed analysis followed by a personal interview round. I got through with both the stage successfully and here my journey at JK Business School began.

The college was fun as I experienced during the graduation days until the Covid pandemic broke out. Physical classes, social interactions, student-faculty relationships everything was there. Even after the lockdown was declared, things did not change much other than physical classroom sessions. Though we are currently restricted to our respective cities and online classes, the school is making every possible effort to ensure an equal amount of quality learning experience as before in the form of regular workshops, seminars, guest lectures, etc. Along with being one of the class representatives of PGDM 20-22 batch, I am also a part of various clubs like CRC, DMRC, Finance, Marketing, and Communication. The next step in my journey is to crack an internship in a reputed firm to enhance my learnings and make myself industry-ready. Being an introvert, my aim is to venture out of my comfort zone and be open to the new experience by the end of my college life.
