Praxis Participates in 7th International Conference on Business Analytics and Intelligence

December 12,2019: Praxis Business School participated at the seventh International Conference on Business Analytics and Intelligence organised by Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Various papers were presented at the event. The first being ‘Attempt to detect fake messages circulating in WhatsApp', which was presented by Assistant Professor, Praxis Business School Gourab Nath. He talked about the Product Feature identification during the presentation.

Other papers presented at the event included ‘A review on imbalanced data techniques: A case study on credit card default prediction’ and ‘Cluster Analysis of Customer Reviews : clustering and summarizing customer reviews for manufacturers to identify customer satisfaction level’.

Praxis Business School Hosts Convocation’19 for Data Science Students

November 13, 2019: Praxis Business School on November 13 held convocation ceremony for Data Science batch’19. Vice President Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Genpact India Sreekanth Menon was invited as chief guest for the ceremony. He delivered the speech on how data science can drive business growth in future with AI-enabled Innovative solutions and practices. The Post Graduate Data Science students further presented their capstone projects. The ceremony was also witnessed by accomplished practitioners from the industry.

In the presence of Vice President, Data Analytics and digital transform at Genpact Anirban Naskar, and Deputy Vice-President, BFS Analytics, Genpact Mumun Bose, who also evaluated the presentation, the PGP Students from the Data Science Group presented their Capstone Project.

Analytic India Magazine Conducts Webinar on Data Science

November 2, 2019: Demand for professionals in the field of data science is at an all-time high. The Analytics India Magazine (AIM) conducted a webinar on "How to Start a Career in Data Science" focused on providing aspirants with clarity on how to make their move into the domain. The webinar answered questions related to the field, the excitement surrounding Data Science today if someone wants to be part of this exciting environment, what skills do they need to have, how do they become a Data Scientist, and what is the next step they need to take. The webinar helped people to identify an acceptable route to upskill themselves and make the transition to this area.

HR Conclave on Critical Competencies for Digital HR

September 28, 2019: Praxis Business School organised HR Conclave that aimed at facilitating a platform for discussion around HR practices, issues, and challenges for sustainability in the digital era. The world is heading towards digitalisation, and this is revolutionising our lifestyle in a way we communicate, consume, spend time, and work. A lot of human performed activities have already been taken over by progressively intelligent machines.

Eminent professionals from the HR fraternity were present at the HR Conclave to share their journeys, knowledge and guidance in this exciting domain.

The HR Conclave attempted to create a platform to analyse the implications of this disruption for the human workforce. It also had in-depth discussions on how HR can enable the digital enterprise and explored ways of building skills necessary for the digital world.
