Apeejay Stya University to Organise Webinar on Zebrafish in Biopharmaceutical Research

July 9, 2020: Zebrafish is a trending topic in Biopharmaceutical Research as a disease model and also as drug discovery. To talk in detail about this, School of Biosciences at Apeejay Stya University will conduct a webinar session on July 10 on the topic, Zebrafish in Biopharmaceutical Research. The University has invited renowned research specialist Dr Pushkar Kulkarni from Dr Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences, Hyderabad Central University to facilitate this session.

Drug Development is a research method for creating a preventive vaccine or prescription drug to alleviate a disease's seriousness. Currently, research on Zebrafish, a freshwater fish, is going on as a disease model and, interestingly, in drug discovery also in clinical research. Dr Pushkar Kulkarni will be sharing his vast experience in the creation and establishment of Zebrafish-based product technology with the students at the School in this webinar. This webinar will give us an insight into the application and growth of our students and faculty in biological science in drug research.
