3 mins readUpdated on Jul 22, 2022 02:49 IST
A significant number of SIES alumni resides in Mumbai with some based out of other locations such as Bengaluru, Pune, New Delhi, USA, Canada, UAE, among others.

SIES ensures that its widespread alumni network is well-tapped, which would go a long way in eventually benefitting its current and future students.

Since its inception in the year 1995, SIES College of Management Studies has always aimed at creating and nurturing an alumni network that is not only vast but also spread across multiple sectors.

Alumni Meets and Activities at SIECOMS

The college believes in connecting its current batch of students with the alumni network as regularly as possible through various mediums such as panel discussions, webinars, chapter meets, conclaves and even casual batch reunions. These interactions have taken place on both college campus and other locations such as 5-star luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, etc. In the year 2020-21 alone (starting from July 2020 till April 2021), the college was successful in conducting more than 40 alumni interactions in online mode, which must have proved to be quite beneficial to all the stakeholders involved. One thing to note is that the college has organised chapter meets not only in India but also abroad such as in Canada, the UAE, the USA and Delhi NCR among others. These meets and interactions cover various aspects such as an alumnus sharing his/her college and corporate experiences, offering internship and live project opportunities, basic career guidance, brainstorming sessions, placements assistance and celebrating major milestones such as silver jubilees. There is a dedicated Centre for Alumni Relations, created in 2017, which primarily focuses on active alumni engagements.

As per the data available on LinkedIn and other sources over the Internet on the alumni network distribution of SIES over the years, a significant number resides in Mumbai with some based out of other locations such as Bengaluru, Pune, New Delhi, USA, Canada, UAE, among others. And they work in various organisations across various domains such as TCS, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Accenture and Cipla to name a few. They have been successfully working at different job profiles such as Consultancy, Business Development, Retail Banking, Data Analytics, Project Lead, etc.

With the above information, one can get a basic idea of how the SIES alumni have fared over the years in their respective fields, as well as made their alma mater proud of their professional careers. Though it may vary from company to company along with the economic landscape of that particular time period, one can realistically expect to earn roughly five times the current salary package in about 10-15 years. Freshers who successfully complete their MBA journey from the college can surely expect to get a job offer which can range from INR 5 LPA to INR 16 LPA CTC (or even more) as per their calibre, interview performance, and some luck too.

Since they have been through a similar journey, the alumni are usually more than happy to help the students out in whichever way possible, whether it is via project mentorship, placement assistance, career guidance, etc. And year after year, SIES ensures that its widespread alumni network is well-tapped, which would go a long way in eventually benefitting its current and future students.
