The planet that we live on today is no longer the way it was in the past centuries. With the passing time, development has made its way through, and today, we live in a world where technology has become an essential part of our routine. The major part of our lives is now spent around different kinds of gadgets and machines. You can now easily get your work done with just a few clicks, a few codes. We are in the times when you just can’t keep yourself away from the world of technology, and in case you somehow choose to do so, it will probably be not a very good decision.

With the human development, technology has grown stronger roots and this growing importance and strength of the same have benefited the IT industry the most. In the past few decades, this industry has been growing at a rapid pace, providing benefits to the consumers and employment to the people in general. Not only has it benefited just its customers or the plot employees, but also the country on a whole. IT industry has contributed about 7.5% to the country's GDP in 2012, which further validates it to be a rapidly rising industry as the contribution was only about 1.2% in 1998. According to NASSCOM, the IT sector in India has reportedly gathered revenues of US$160 billion in the current year 2017. This establishes the opportunities and development that this sector holds in itself.

The IT service sector, that took birth in 1967 in India with the establishment of Tata Group in Mumbai, grew with small pace until 1991, when the economic reforms were adopted and the concept of globalization entered the Indian economy. After 1991, IT service sector flourished at a good pace by making 77% of its revenue from the exports to the U.S. and other countries. As of 2006, 40% of country's GDP and 30% of export earnings were the results of the services provided by this industry.

This IT sector in India is currently in dire need of skilled and knowledgeable IT professionals who can fulfill the needs and demands of the industry.

Looking at the glory of the IT sector, one can definitely look up to having a great career path if he/she chooses to join the beaming IT brigade. However, to get the best of your decision, it is important that you consider attaining your IT education from a reputed and recognized institution. The colleges should have the best of facilities, programs, mentors, and course structure that help to mold the students into skilled IT professionals having the capability to stand on global platforms. The colleges should have  aims at inculcating in students all the necessary knowledge and skills that make them capable enough to confidently step forward in the industry at not only national level but internationally as well.

The curriculum for the BCA program is sculpted to provide the students a strong understanding of the core subjects and different programming languages by means of focused lectures by highly qualified and experienced faculty and ample of practical exposure to strengthen the hands-on understanding on the learned concepts. Every College should adopt latest technology and infrastructure to give the best to the students. The MCA program comprises of more advanced and specialized courses in IT to provide the students with superior knowledge and skills to cater to the complex demands of the IT industry. Students should be trained on latest programming languages and tools to enable their smooth transformation into highly efficient and well-informed IT professionals.

The programs at colleges should conduct by very well qualified and immensely experienced faculty members having years of working experience in the industry. Students should be provided with value-added labs in addition to the robust curriculum to ensure optimum absorption of all the concepts.
