What is a Computer Science (CSE) course?
BTech Computer Science is a four-year undergraduate program, great for students interested in the field of software engineering, app development, IT corporates, and MNCs. - Robotics: The developing field of robotics concentrates on manufacturing robots that can replicate human behaviors (from building cars to assisting in surgeries). A foundation in computer science programme furnishes one to programme the software that maintains dynamic and virtual bots to function effectively. Robotics courses can lead to job titles such as Robotics engineer, Robotics Technician, Software developer.
- Computer Forensics: Computer forensics exists at the junction of law and computer science. Computer forensics, also called data or digital forensics, deals with the recovery and investigation of digital storage devices. One might work in a crime lab, law enforcement department, or other public agency, or as a private contractor. Job titles would be Digital forensics specialist, the computer forensics investigator.

- Computer Science and Engineering Department of Prestige Institute of Engineering Management & Research (PIEMR), Indore is the oldest department of Prestige Engineering. The department is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. The course programme of Computer Science Engineering at PIEMR is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

- PIEMR has a unique collaboration with the Computer Science of India (CSI), a nationally recognised body of computer professionals, established in 1965. In partnership with this scientific society, PIEMR has set up the “Prestige-CSI Chapter” in 2015.
- The objective of this agreement is to encourage and assist computer science enthusiasts to teach integrity and competence on a national and international level. - Another distinguishing partnership of PIEMR is with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), which is an international learned society for computing. It is a non-profit organisation, headquartered in New York, and was founded in 1947. Today it is the world’s largest international computing society.
- Collaborating with the ACM, PIEMR has set up a unique Prestige ACM Chapter to motivate students to represent, share, and enhance their skills on the global computer network. To fulfill this objective, various activities like expert lectures, technical competitions, workshops, tours, etc. under the ACM Chapter.
- Department is also associated with IIT Bombay for its spoken tutorial project. Students can take benefit of courses offered by IIT Bombay under this spoken tutorial scheme.
- Department is also collaborating with IIT Delhi for enabling and accessing virtual laboratories.
- Students are accessing and learning through the experiments offered by IIT Delhi.
- Department is also the remote center of IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur for the NMEICT project.
- Department has set up a unique collaboration with oracle under PCCD units for the benefit of students.
- Department also collaborated with Red Hat for awareness of the Red Hat course.
