Q: What is the eligibility criteria and selection process for admission in BFSI programme?

A: For admissions, student must be graduate with minimum of 50 per cent. And, it is must to take at least one of the entrance exam out of CAT, XAT or CMAT.

The cutoff for last stood at 81 per cent for XAT, 87 per cent for CAT and 97.5 per cent for CMAT.

For selection process, students’ academic record is being evaluated with result in qualifying exam. The sections are made basis overall profile including GD and PI evaluation.

Q: Is it mandatory to have work experience to be eligible?

A: It is not necessary to have work experience. However, it adds value to your profile if the experience is relevant. Additionally, freshers with good knowledge and confidence are equally welcomed here.

Q: Can you share some insights on placements?

A: The leading private banks such as HDFC Bank are already associated with us, and other HDFC group companies such as HDFC Ltd, HDFC Life have also expressed strong interest and support. We have received inputs and support from ICICI Bank, Tata Goup companies such as Tata Capital, Tata AIA and Tata AIG also visit for placement. Highest salary offered in the BFSI space witnessed a drastic jump in the last placement season with a package of Rs 24.37 lakh per annum.

Q: Does the college facilitate internships?

A: Yes, we do offer internships to students. These are generally longer duration internships stretching to six months. Most of the companies are from finance industry such as HDFC Bank, HDFC Insurance, ICICI banks and Insurances, etc.

Q: Is it possible for a student to switch to another programme during the tenure?

A: Switching between programmes is not allowed. Stream once chosen at entry remains same for the next two years. Electives from that curriculum will be required to be chosen.

Q: What are the important dates for admissions?

A: Applications are open. The last date to fill up the application form is December 31, 2019. The interviews will be scheduled in early January around January 10, 2019.

Candidates need to have at least three-years of work experience to apply for Hybrid PGDM course at GIM Goa. Aspirants also need to complete bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate to apply for Hybrid PGDM.

No, direct admissions are not available for many courses at GIM Goa. The accepted entrance tests for admission to the UG, PG, and other courses is XAT, CAT, and others. FPM direct admissions are available for students.

GIM Goa has all the facilities given by tier 1 college. Goa Institute of Management was establsihed in the year 1993 & is accredited by AMBA,  SAQS,  & BGA. GIM is a member of AACSB. GIM Goa popular programmes are PGDM & the HCM are accredited by the NBA
