What is BBA?

BBA full form is Bachelor of Business Administration. BBA is a three-year undergraduate programme that is offered by various top B-schools in India for courses after Class 12. It equips the students with the foundational knowledge and skills required for varied business environments. BBA and BBS are professional degrees that address the core functions of business such as finance, strategy, decision, etc. The degree also focuses on managerial skills, team skills and communication skills. Market Requirements

Currently, the Indian market is expanding at an accelerated rate. As existing companies are expanding in size, new start-ups have also arrived on the scene. All these companies require candidates with sound business and operations knowledge. Skilled individuals with a strong business mindset are highly in demand. Candidates with BBA degrees can easily form a part of the core business/operations/strategy team or can act as the point of contact between the workforce and senior-level management. 

Q:   Who can apply for SET exam?
A:
Candidates who have completed their Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with at least 50 per cent aggregate are eligible to apply for SET exam. There is no age limit to appear for the exam. Candidates in the Class 12 or are awaiting the Class 12 results can also apply provisionally and present the marksheet at the time of admission. The candidate who has completed class 12 or equivalent from a foreign board and must have obtained an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is eligible.
Q:   What are the total marks in Christ University CUET exam?
A:

The Christ University Entrance Exam CUET has a total of six sections. The Christ University CUET has multiple-choice questions and there are a total of 120 MCQs in the Christ University CUET exam. The exam will be conducted for 90 minutes in the computer-based test mode. Students must keep in mind that the CUET exam has negative marking and they will be marked down for each incorrect answer. 

Q:   Can I appear for IPMAT more than once?
A:

No, IPMAT is conducted only once a year. Candidates have to wait for the next session if they miss this year's exam. The IPMAT exam is being conducted in the CBT (computer-based test) mode. Based on the IPM Aptitude Test scores, students can apply for admission to integrated management programme offered by the prestigious Indian Institute of Managment, Indore. The exam will only be conducted in the computer-based test mode for all the sessions across various cities. The difficulty level of the IPMAT exam is usually moderate and the candidates can easily prepare for this exam. Candidates who wish to appear for the IPMAT exam need to apply on the official website of IIM Indore and fill out the IPMAT application form once the application window opens. IPMAT is held in about 28 test cities across the country, and the students need to visit the exam centre in order to take the exam.

Due to the nature of the BBA/ BBS degree, most candidates end up working directly with the marketing, sales, operation or strategic team. This leads to a good exposure of market trends, strategic decisions making, and so on. Candidates are able to develop market-relevant skills and focus latest trends. Candidates with BBA/BBS degrees, who have good market exposure and relevant experience, often witness fast-paced growth. Remuneration 

Remuneration is an important aspect of every job. A BBA degree is highly rewarding. Students can access the best managerial and administrative professions with the highest incomes and benefits. Candidates with a BBA degree from a good college or university can expect starting salaries of four lakh (INR 4 LPA) onwards. Other candidates can expect starting salaries of two lakhs (INR 2 LPA) onwards. BBA graduates with four to five years of experience can expect salaries in the range of eight to ten lakhs (INR 8 to 10 lakhs). However, the salary statistics vary from city to city and in different industries. 

Q:   Is there an age limit in the IPMAT exam?
A:

Yes, there is maximum age limit to appear for the IPMAT exam. The students appearing for the IPMAT exam must be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2024. The IPMAT exam is open to students who have recently passed Class 12 or are still awating the Class 12 results. IPMAT is conducted by IIM Indore and is accepted by some of the top institutes such as IIM Indore, IIFT, Nirma University, IIM Ranchi, Alliance University, NICMAR and NALSAR University. Any candidate who has scored a minimum of 60% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of the General and NC-OBC categories is eligible to apply for the IPMAT exam. 

Q:   How can I select UGAT exam centre?
A:

During the UGAT registration process, candidates need to select their UGAT exam centre. The candidates can choose upto five UGAT exam centres  for the UGAT exam centre allotment. Candidates should choose the test centres in the order of their preference, as they cannot be changed after the UGAT exam application form submission. Follow the steps mentioned below to know how to select the UGAT exam centre:

  • Register on the official website of AIMA UGAT
  • Login to the candidate portal and fill the rest of the UGAT application form
  • Under the 'test centre' tab, choose the preferred test cities.
  • Candidates can select up to five test centres while filling out the UGAT exam application form.
  • Candidates must select test centres in order of their preference, i.e. from first to fifth.
  • Fill up the entire UGAT application form, pay the application fee and finally and click 'Submit'.
Q:   How many attempts are allowed in the SET exam?
A:

Candidates can only attempt the SET exam twice on the given test dates, i.e. May 5 and May 11. The SET exam 2025 will be conducted on two days (one session each day). Candidates can mention their number of attempts while filling the SET application form. However, they have to pay the application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable.  The scores of best attempt will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates for WAT/GD/PI/Studio Test.

Candidates can take multiple attempts as the difficulty level of each session may vary. 

Future Degrees (MBA, MBE, Economics)

Another great advantage of pursuing a BBA degree is the wide choice of options available for future degrees (higher education). BBA courses are a great foundation for pursuing Master of Business Administration (MBA) later. MBA is an extension of the BBA course. As a matter of fact, many top universities and colleges (such as IIM Indore) offer five-year integrated MBA + BBA courses. Candidates can also opt to pursue other Master’s programmes such as Masters of Business Economics (MBE), Masters in Economics and so on.
