Difference between BBA and Five-Year Integrated BBA MBA Course
1. Core Topics
Candidates pursuing a five-year integrated MBA degree have a certain advantage in terms of the syllabus. In the five-year programme, no courses or subjects will be repeated. Candidates will progress to advanced levels of management education after two years.
In case of pursuing MBA after BBA, candidates will have to repeat courses. In an MBA programme, candidates come from various backgrounds. Candidates with BBA / BBS degrees will have to repeat core subjects.

2. Different Institutes
Post a BBA degree, candidates can opt to select a different university or B-school for their management education. However, students pursuing a five-year integrated BBA MBA programme have no such option. Many students prefer to pursue MBA courses from premier B-schools such as Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) or other top MBA colleges. Pursuing a separate MBA degree helps candidates be a part of two institutions.
Alternately, in a five-year integrated MBA programme, candidates don’t have the option of changing institutes.
3. Entrance tests
In the case of an Integrated MBA degree, candidates have to appear for an entrance exam/selection procedure just once. However, in the case of separate degrees, candidates have to undergo admission and selection procedures twice. 4. Work Experience
Candidates seeking work experience before pursuing post-graduation should ideally opt for separate BBA and MBA degrees. In an integrated BBA MBA dual degree, candidates don’t have the option of working after completion of a three-year degree.
5. Course Fee
The course fee of the Integrated MBA is more than BBA and MBA programmes, as the institute's expenditure on the student is for five continuous years. Therefore, for many students, Integrated BBA will be more expensive than a three-year BBA programme.
