I appeared for Common Entrance Test (CET) and on the basis of my rank, I got admission to JIMS, Kalkaji, says Yakshi
I chose the Commerce stream in my high school because I am very much keen to get practical knowledge and an idea of how does this market works. And also have a keen interest in understanding the financial situation of any particular company. I chose BBA because it is very much an extension of my Commerce stream which I pursued in high school. It will serve me with all the purpose of learning about marketing, finance, sales, etc. And also this course has a great demand in future. And about the college, I chose this college because JIMS comes under the top five colleges under IP University which means it will provide me with a piece of vast knowledge about the subject and also great placement opportunities as well.
To be a part of JIMS Kalkaji - Jagannath International Management School which is affiliated to GGSIPU, one has to first undergo an entrance exam called CET. So I appeared for Common Entrance Test (CET) and on the basis of my rank, I got admission to JIMS, Kalkaji. I prepared for the entrance test from PRATHAM institute, the Kailash colony branch as it is very famous among students to crack any entrances and also has a great name in the educational field.
So I prepared for my crash course from there. And other than giving the IPU-CET I also appeared for the DU-JAT exam but unfortunately, I didn't get that much of a good rank in that due to which I didn't pursue the particular course from DU which was BMS.
Well talking about the time I spent in college is been a great experience till now. I only have a month's experience till now in my offline classes and then due to the COVID pandemic it became online. I spent my time in college by learning about the subjects that we are having, chilling with my friends, meeting new people and also exploring what all are the fields i am interested in. Business Economis and Financial accounting are the subjects which i like to read and want to know more about them and also I like these subjects because of our teachers as well. Currently I am a part of prachaar( social media society), ace( placement society) and finatix( finance society) in my college. I am planning to be a part of E-cell( Entrepreneurship cell) and Zaahir( dance society) in my next year. It made me more confident, smart, increased my communication skills and also widened my mindset.
