According to the official proposal draft, CBSE 10th Board Exam 2026 will be conducted in two phases. CBSE 10th Board Exam 2026 first phase will be conducted from February 17 to March 6, 2026, and the CBSE Class 10 Exam 2026 second phase from May 5 to May 20, 2026.

Meanwhile, the Board has said that the released CBSE 10th Time Table 2026 is tentative and is subject to change as per the received feedbacks from the stakeholders.

Q:   When will CBSE conduct 10th, 12th board exams?
A:

CBSE will conduct the 10th, 12th board exams 2026 from February 17, 2026 in pen and paper format. The exams will conclude on April 9, 2026. 

The board released the CBSE syllabus and exam pattern 2026 on the official website. Students must finish with their syllabus by January 2026 and start practising the CBSE sample papers and previous years question papers for better preparation of the exams. 

Q:   When will CBSE conduct the CBSE 10th, 12th practical exams?
A:

CBSE conducts the CBSE practical exams between January 1 and Feb 14 every year. There is no external examiner allotted to conduct  practical exams for Class 10, while external examiners are called to conduct the CBSE 12th practical exams. 

For winter-bound schools, CBSE practical exams are held between November 5 and December 5.

Q:   Can I go to washroom during CBSE 10th board exam?
A:

When appearing for the CBSE 10th board exams, you must feel relaxed and comfortable. Yes, you will be allowed to go to the washroom during the examination but only once and with an invigilator. Students often use washroom for using unfair means and cheat in board exams, however, they must know that the invigilator can frisk them anytime during the exam duration. So, it is recommended to use washroom only when needed.
