CBSE has warned of last year’s notice being circulated claiming that exams for only 29 subjects would be conducted this year too. CBSE Board Exams 2021 would be conducted as scheduled.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has warned students against miscreants who are circulating old notices to confuse students. An official circular by CBSE has been doing rounds on social media and WhatsApp that says that the CBSE exams 2021 will be conducted for only 29 subjects. However, the notice is of April 2020 and is being circulated to confuse students who are preparing for the examinations in 2021. The Board has cleared that the CBSE Board Examinations 2021 for Classes 10 and 12 are scheduled to begin from May 4, with no changes.

CBSE, while sharing a screenshot of the circular dated April 1, 2020, and tweets of Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, informed that ‘There are some persons deliberately trying to create confusion about board exams by circulating old news of 1.4.20 regarding Class 10th and CBSE 12th exams. Students should ignore this old circular of last year and not be misled.’

The board advised parents and students to not believe in rumours and notices that are circulated on WhatsApp and to only follow the official notices that are posted on the board’s official website cbse.gov.in.

Currently, the CBSE schools are conducting Class 12 practical examinations offline. The theoretical examinations will begin on May 4 amid strict safety protocols.
