No, CAT is not compulsory for MBA admission at LPU. You can rather apply through LPUNEST, it is accepted both for admission and scholarships, so that works even if you do not have CAT. Also LPU accepts valid scores from national-level exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, and NMAT , so in case you do not have a CAT score , just qualifying in LPUNEST is enough. After the entrance exam, shortlisted candidates might still need to go through the university's selection process, it includes a video essay and interview.

CAT is compulsory to take admission in MBA and MBA IB courses offered by the Institute of Management Studies of BHU (formerly known as FMS BHU). Admission to these courses is based on candidates' performance in CAT, GD-PI and past academic records.

However, candidates seeking admission to the MBA courses offered by other departments of BHU are not required to take CAT. Admission to these MBA courses is through CUET PG. These courses include MBA in Food & Agribusiness Management, MBA in Financial Management, MBA in Foreign Trade, and MBA Risk & Insurance.

No, CAT is not compulsorily required to get admission in RV University. The university considers score of nationally approved admission test (such as CAT, GMAT, NMAT, XAT), with high scores in English & numerical ability for admission into MBA.

For the MBA at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, there isn't a fixed CAT or NMAT cutoff because admissions are based on your entrance score along with your interview and academic profile.

That said, students with around 60–65 CAT percentile or an NMAT score of 150–190+ generally have a reasonable chance of getting shortlisted, depending on the competition that year.
