AAFT is a private academy; however, it is approved by the UGC. The academy also has multiple associations with international universities such as New York University, USA, Oxford Business College, United Kingdom and Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. Established in 1990, the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), is a Media and Communication academy located in Delhi/ NCR. It is located in Film City Noida and is known for offering various undergraduate, postgraduate, Diploma and short-term courses in the fields of Cinema, Mass Communication, Animation, Fashion and Photography.

The fees at AAFT included one-time tuition and Hostel fees. However as of now one-time fee is not present. The fee varies according to programme and specialisation chosen by students. AAFT Noida conducts on campus placements. As of now, the 2025 placement stats have been released. The highest salary offered to the students was INR 16 LPA. The overall average salary was between INR 3.60 LPA and INR 4 LPA. More than 2,000 companies participated in the drive and placed 1,175 students in new age job roles. The placement rate recorded in 2025 was 93%.

BSc,  BA,  MSc and MA are the flagship courses of AAFT. These courses are taught across various popular specialisations such as Cinematography, Direction, Animation, Fashion Design, Jewellery Design, etc. The institute also offers multiple Diploma and certificate courses, which can be pursued by even high school graduates. Admission to all these courses is entrance-based.

No, candidates who are looking for UG course admission at AAFT University must appear for the entrance exam. Candidates must appear for the AAFT entrance exam followed by an interview. Aspirants also have to complete Class 12 as their basic educational qualification. 

AAFT offers 10 specialisations for MSc programmes. The curriculum of all these specialisations is meant to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge in their chosen specialisations. Below are the list of MSc specialisations offered at AAFT:

The institute offers 10+ certificate courses in fields such as animation, music, and film. Additionally, these certificate programmes are in areas such as baking, screenwriting, video editing and sound recording, camera and lighting techniques, etc. These courses are three months long. Admission to certificate programmes is subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria and merit demonstrated in the entrance test and personal interview rounds.

The AAFT follows the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) for its MSc programme. Under this system, there is a choice of credit awarded for every semester from a combination of core and elective subjects so that a flexible and personalised experience in terms of learning can be acquired. The course duration is two years. This will not only make the students more academically engaged but also prepare them for different professional careers in their respective fields of study.
