MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2030

It is not luxurious, but it provides strong learning for serious MBBS students.
Placements: There is no placement system, as it is an MBBS course. After completion, we go for internships, postgraduate studies, or government/private hospital jobs. There are many departments where we can pursue PG and build our future. During internship, everyone is paid around Rs. 20,000 to Rs.22,000.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is decent for a government medical college. Lecture halls are good, with LH 4 being the biggest, used for first-year students. Labs are functional. The hospital has a good patient load, which helps us learn a lot and improves clinical learning. Hostel facilities are not very good but are manageable. We do not have an indoor badminton court, but there is outdoor space and a volleyball court.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and knowledgeable, especially in clinical subjects. All teachers are very supportive and help us with our studies, particularly during exams. Everyone is helpful. Exams are conducted regularly. We do not get much of a break, as we have PCT and viva every week. However, this is also good because we do not need to study much for internals. Since we have already studied so much, making internals easier.

Poor infrastructure in sports but good in academic with good faculty and good placements overall.
Placements: Placement is overall good. Here there is lot to learn and experience during internship which is not available in other northeastern medical college. In our batch there were 125 students out of which after intern around 30 were working in reputed hospitals in Delhi.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available in hostel however in library its available for all. Classrooms are upto the mark. Quality of food serve in mess is below average the variety present is not okay. There is also problem in electricity in hostel sometimes and even scarcity of drinking water during summer.
Faculty: Teacher are well experience and put their best effort to make us well versed with the topic. Its a wonderful campus. Pass percentage is overall good. Its teaches us with modern medical Science. PG students too help the UG students in their academic years.
Other: Events, fest are average here we get to celebrates like college week every year and sports activities are only done in those college week. The infrastructure for sport is poor.

Review of Agartala Government Medical College.
Placements: About 85% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA. Most of the students get government jobs. Other than that, private or corporate hospitals also recruit students. A maximum of them are joined as junior residents, while some are joined as PGs.
Infrastructure: It has five lecture halls and one library. The lecture halls are fully equipped for digital classes. Wi-Fi facilities are available. Labs are available for every department. It has a total of 19 departments. The library is fully equipped with national and foreign journals. Hostels for boys and girls are separate.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They help at each step. They provide skill-based subjects and learning. Semester exams are a little bit difficult. The pass percentage is around 85%. Academics are quite good in our college. Every month, there will be a class test. There is a PCT, a half-yearly exam, and a semester exam.
Other: Due to my passion for medicine, I chose this course.

Everything is satisfactory. Time period is long but it's worth it.
Placements: Doctors from agmc goes to many respectful places and receive high salary like 80000 to 120009. Believe me it's worth spending your 5.5 years in agmc I never felt regret taking agmc and MBBS both. You will never feel when your MBBS is passed. After MBBS you may choose your field of interest.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is only available in library. Labs and classrooms are well maintained. Hostel is quiet good you have your own room and well ventilated, good lighting,24 hour electricity and have a common roon, a study room and a tv on 3rd floor. Mess food is also good and you have to pay 3000 per month for that. Canteen is also there. Medical facilities are also good as it's a medical college and have a playground for sports and games.
Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified, knowledgeful and helpful. Overall education is good here and teaching quality is also good. You have to go to hospital to learn everything and that's very helpful and relevant. Semester exams I must say not that hard but you have to study a little to pass. Pass percentage is above 85percentage.
Other: Doctor is respectable post so I chose and I think the best part is it's interesting. I thing everything is perfect in medical but we should get regular vacations also. Events, fest, campus, connectivity, surrounding and extracurricular activities all are okay.

I am highly satisfied because of faculty members, and placements are very good.
Placements: Almost 80-95% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is nearly 12 to 14 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is nearly 6 to 8 LPA and the average salary package offered is 9 to 10 LPA. Maximum government and private hospital jobs are offered to the students. Nearly 90 to 95% of the students got an internship in government hospitals.
Infrastructure: Facilities available here are not that good, and also there is no Wi-Fi on the campus. The library is average, and maximum books are not available in the library. Hostels are not that good, and the mess food is the worst. Medical and sports facilities are very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, knowledgeable and also well-qualified. Teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is a bit boring and lengthy. The theoretical part is more than the practical part. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready.

Review of Agartala Government Medical College.
Placements: I am a student of the 10th batch of this college (2014-2015). I got admission to this college through Tripura state medical entrance examination. Around 100 students took admission in the 1st year, and 75% of them were from Tripura, while the rest were from other states. About 90% of the students successfully passed out from MBBS in the year 2019. Many of them completed their internships by March 2020.
Infrastructure: Our college has a 6-storeyed building, which has 5 lecture halls, and they are dedicated to 9 semesters of MBBS course. There is a library with a vast collection of textbooks, national and foreign journals which are updated every month. There are more than 20 Wi-Fi enabled computers. There are separate biochemistry, pathology and microbiology labs where specimens are tested every day. Our college provides separate hostels for boys, girls and nurses, and Wi-Fi facility is available in the hostels. The quality of the food cooked in the mess is pretty good. There are also two canteens to have the refreshment in the evening. Our college has a cricket ground, football field and badminton court along with a gymnasium.
Faculty: There are more than 10 teachers per subject, and they are highly educated and knowledgeable. They are very helpful and always willing to help students. Their teaching quality is very good. After completion of every chapter, they conduct part completion tests (PCT). The course span is over 4.5 years, with a one-year mandatory rotatory internship.
Other: I chose this course because I have a dream to become a good doctor from my childhood and help human beings. I wish that our college should improve the teaching pattern in the MBBS course by rescheduling some subjects in the final year. We organize college week in March for 7 days with cultural programs, sports events, and various other events. Our college is located in the heart of the city, so it has very good transport facilities. It is surrounded by lush green fields. Every year blood donation camps are organized to meet ever-increasing demands of blood in the hospital.

A budding medical college in Tripura .
Placements: About 100 students are getting admission in my college every year in MBBS course. Our batch is the 5th batch of this college. Among them, 95 students had passed Final MBBS PART II examination in one go and have successfully completed Internship by March 2014. They are now working in various parts of our country, some as Junior residents, some as postgraduates and some as well medical officers.
Infrastructure: There are 5 lecture halls in our college, each one dedicated to the various semesters of our college. There is a well air conditioned library having all the latest textbooks, journals both national and foreign. Also there are 40 computers with broadband connection enabled for the convenience of the students and teachers. Wi-Fi facility is available in the college campus. There are separate hostels for UG boys, girls, PGTs and residents of our college and hospital. All essential items are available in the hostel. 2 canteens are there for refreshments. Along with these, there is a football ground, a cricket ground, basketball court and badminton court for playing games. Also there is a gymnasium for keeping the body fit and active throughout the year. There is an auditorium where all cultural programs are being held.
Faculty: The teachers in this college are very helpful, they are well educated, from different esteemed colleges of our country. Their way of teaching is way too good. They are extremely friendly. There are 5-10 teachers per subject up to 3rd year, with the number increasing up to 20 for the clinical subjects in the final year. The curriculum consists of 4 professional years extending over 9 semesters. We have 1st professional MBBS examination in September or October and the rest 3 professional examinations occur in February or March. The course is pretty much relevant and makes the students industry ready to be considered as worthy doctors of the country in the near future.
Other: My batch is the 5th batch (2009-2014) of Agartala Government Medical College. I chose this course as it provides me with an opportunity to serve humanity, to be able to return to the country what it has given me. I love to serve humanity. Our college has an annual fest spanning over 7 days with the last day being award giving ceremony. We also celebrate various health days celebrated across the country. We also have foundation day, fresher's day for the 1st year UG students. Campus surroundings are pretty flamboyant with lush green fields all around and beside our college we have G B Pant Hospital, the largest hospital in North East. We regularly get scholarship for extracurricular activities. Our college is in the heart of the city and it is pretty accessible by roads.
