February 10, 2025: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of AISSMS College of Pharmacy, Pune in association with APTI Central, had organized a five day Online International Level Faculty Development Programme "Insights into Drug Discovery, Development and Regulation" recently. Principal Dr. Ashwini Madgulkar welcomed the participants with best wishes from Hon. Secretary AISSM Society, Shri. Malojiraje Chhatrapati. The aim of the programme was to provide pharmacy faculty across the country with an opportunity to keep pace with the changing scenarios. Stalwart professionals from the pharmaceutical industry from India and abroad including Dr. Y.K Gupta (President AIIMS Jammu), Dr. Ranjani Nellore (Singapore) and Dr. D.G. Naik (Project coordinator MES, Pune) shared their knowledge and interacted with the pharmacy professionals attending the programme.
The participants benefited from topics ranging from pharmacovigilance, innovation in health care, regulatory affairs and technical documents as well as chromatographic techniques for standardization of herbal medicines. Over 275 faculty members from various institutes of higher education registered for the FDP. The sessions provided participants with an industry perspective to guide their academic endeavors which is the need of the hour. The participants expressed their appreciation towards the knowledgeable speakers and emphasized the need for more such programmes.

September 24, 2024: AISSMS College of Pharmacy, Pune in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) had organized “SYNAPSE”, a biennial National level Research Competition on 20th September, 2024. The event received an overwhelming response from pharmacy students from various states of India. The occasion commenced with the inauguration program and the keynote address by Dr. Ashwini Madgulkar, Principal AISSMSCOP, on the importance of innovation and technology, to an eager audience of young researchers.
The energy filled event was concluded with the much awaited Valedictory function. The teams from Amrutvahini College of Pharmacy Sangamner, Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Pharmacy Navi Mumbai and SKB College of Pharmacy Nagpur were awarded winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up prize respectively from PG category while Amrutvahini College of Pharmacy Sangamner, Sinhgad Institute Narhe and Dyanvilas College of Pharmacy Dudulgaon were declared winner 1st runner up and 2nd runner up prize respectively from the UG category. All winners were awarded attractive cash prizes with best wishes from Hon. Secretary AISSM Society, Shri. Malojiraje Chhatrapati & Principal, Dr. Ashwini R. Madgulkar.
AISSMS College of Pharmacy Organises Synapse 2024
August 14, 2024: AISSMS College of Pharmacy organises Synapse 2024 on 20th September 2024. Synapse is National-Level Research Competition for Pharmacy students. Each team can have a maximum of 4 participants in the UG category and 2 participants inthe PG category. There are attractive prizes to be won in the range of Rs. 5000 to Rs.15,000. Submit your abstracts by August 20 at aissmscopsynapse@gmail.com. Abstracts should be in Times New Roman font size 12 with the title in Times New Roman font size 14.
International Webinar Conducted By AISSMS College of Pharmacy
November 3, 2023: The AISSMS College of Pharmacy in Pune's Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) recently hosted an online international faculty development programme called "Empowering Educators: Advancements in Technology, Research, and Entrepreneurship" in collaboration with APTI Central.
Best wishes were extended to the attendees by Hon. Secretary of the AISSM Society, Malojiraje Chhatrapati, through Principal Dr Ashwini Madgulkar. The keynote speech by Dr Milind Umekar, President of the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), came next.
The program's objective was to give pharmacy professionals nationwide the chance to stay up to date with the rapidly evolving conditions. Prominent scholars from both domestic and international institutions, such as Dr Navnath Gavande from Wayne State University, Dr K.S. Ladha from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Sagar Shukre from Kenaf Healthcare, and Dr Vijay Gupte from Eisai Inc. USA, imparted their expertise and engaged in dialogue with the pharmacy practitioners enrolled in the programme.
The attendees profited from discussions on a variety of subjects, including the development of drugs for neglected tropical diseases, difficulties and potential in phytochemicals, and entrepreneurship in the healthcare industry. We talked about typical workflows, resource problems, and case study lessons.
