Overall experience at NMIMS Mumbai, B.Sc. Finance.

Faculty: Professors are well qualified, helpful and also available via mail at all times. Professors teaching major subjects such as accountancy, financial markets, and quantitative techniques are well experienced, but teachers teaching other lower credit courses are not so interactive. The course is quite relevant with machine learning and AI in the third year; the course does make the students industry-ready. The professors are like mentors who keep us updated with the current status of the job market ...

Really good infrastructure, exposure, and character-building opportunities.

Faculty: Very helpful and qualified teachers are there with a willingness to teach and put in their best efforts to help students study. They are lenient in many ways and are very approachable to all, especially with the help of class CRs. The course curriculum seems very relevant to me, but for some subjects, the exams are harder than boards, though the pass percentage is almost the same, being 40% in both internal and external exams.

NMIMS Mumbai - A benchmark for modern education.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, and approachable and provide necessary guidance whenever asked for (apart from exceptions). The course curriculum is pretty relevant and helpful, providing us with deep insights into the industries and making the students future-ready. The semester exams are much more difficult when compared to other universities. This is what NMIMS is known for, its difficult exams, which make students prepared for any tough circumstances.

The college provides a good library and classrooms.

Faculty: B.Com (Hons) was too lengthy a program and therefore even though I was getting that I chose B.Com. I agree we had fewer subjects and less electives but all the traits of commerce were there in our program. We were taught thoroughly all the accountancy subjects be it audit or cost accounting. Economics was a compulsory elective and all the traits of it were also there in our course.

Debatable college, wonderful yet not worth it if you have a better choice.

Faculty: Some of the teachers are very experienced and helpful with the finest research materials. They always provide an opportunity to us but I would say the quality of the faculty can be said as above average. Some have worked in big firms both in India and internationally and this brings out the vast exposure they had in multiple fields. Exams are a bit on the harder side. The curriculum is very rigorous and flooded with assignments and internal assignments throughout the semester but it's vital to m...

The infrastructure of the college is professional.

Faculty: I would rate it 6/10 as the course curriculum was good but the planning wasn't. 3rd sem was made too tough with 4 practicals and only 2 theory subjects while 5th sem and 6th sem were too easy. These subjects could've been divided better. We had 6 seems- with final exams each sem. 50 marks for internals (presentations, mid-seems, projects) and 50 marks for final exams. You need 20 minimums in each to pass. The college has 60 courses. The college fee is Rs. 2,10,000 per year.

Good placements, great people, good faculty

Faculty: Course is relevant, faculty is also very knowledgeable. It definitely makes the students industry ready as we do lots of presentations and are prepared for the real world by constantly being pushed to perform better and under a time crunch as well. Exam difficulty ranges from medium to difficult, Direct Tax was a very tough subject.

Amazing experience overall

Faculty: The teachers in the course were very qualified. They were also quite helpful. The quality of teaching was also good but there were certain subjects where the course outlines would not match with the final exams questions. The course outline is very relevant and up to date. The students become very prepared for their jobs as there is in depth teaching in the accounting subjects especially. The semester exams are usually moderate level. The internal exams are where the grades can be defined so its...

Good college, teachers are friendly.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful to students. They are well qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. They clarify our doubts, and the course curriculum is relevant, making students industry-ready. Semester exams can be difficult, with a pass percentage of 65%.

Is NMIMS Mumbai worth it?

Faculty: The faculties at NMIMS are experts in their field and are ready to help you beyond classrooms. Bsc Finance course is designed at par with CFA level 1. So, anyone interested in the field of finance would be a good fit. It follows a semester system. A total of 8 semesters in 4 years. The course is challenging but the students give it there all and therefore the passing percentage is considerably high.

Quite satisfied with the college.

Faculty: Our college has very qualified and professional teachers who are very helpful and always ready to solve doubts and motivate students. Yes, this is a professional course that makes you industry-ready, and there is a very high college placement rate. The difficulty level of semester exams is such that it is not easy to pass without good preparation.

Very satisfied with the college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. However, the semester exams are very difficult, and only some students fail; the rest all pass.

I am happy that I am learning and growing knowingly or unknowingly.

Faculty: The quality of the course and curriculum is very good. While interning, I realized that almost everything is taught and covered through college projects which almost all of us take for granted but are designed well. Exams are quite difficult, and you cannot expect to pass them without studying.
