NPAT Syllabus 2026: SVKM's NMIMS has released the NPAT syllabus along with the admission handbook of each exam session. The NPAT syllabus 2026 released along with the exam details on the official website, npat.nmims.edu. NPAT syllabus comprises three broad sections, namely Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Logical Reasoning. As per NPAT 2026 exam pattern, candidates need to solve a total of 120 multiple-choice questions within 100 minutes. NMIMS NPAT will be conducted as a computer-based test from NPAT exam centres. Candidates preparing based on a strategy combining NPAT syllabus and exam pattern tend to score higher in the NPAT 2026 exam.

Q:   Where can I find NPAT syllabus?

Candidates can find the NPAT syllabus on the official exam website. SVKMs NMIMS updates the NPAT exam syllabus and pattern every year on the official website. SVKMs NMIMS has released the NPAT syllabus. Candidates can find the NMIMS NPAT syllabus for all three sections from the official website. The questions in the NPAT exam are framed from the pre-defined syllabus of the exam.

Q:   Is there GK included in the syllabus of BBA in NPAT?
A: 

In the previous sessions of NMIMS NPAT exam, there was a section for General Knowledge. Candidates had toi answer questions from static GK as well as current affairs. However, SVKMs NMIMS do not have questions from GK section after 2020 exam session. The three core sections of NPAT exam are

  • Verbal Reasoning: This section includes questions to test English Proficiency of the candidate.
  • Logical Reasoning: This section includes questions to measure the ability or aptitude to reason logically.
  • Quantitative Reasoning: This section includes questions to gauge the basic mathematical skills of the candidate.

NPAT exam does not include questions from GK or current affairs.

Q:   Is NPAT syllabus lengthy?
A: 

Yes, however, most of the topics included in the NPAT syllabus comprises topics that candidates have studied until their Class 12 level education. However, questions from sections such as Logical Reasoning will require candidates to prepare for critical reasoning skills. Most of the topics are from the 10th and 12th standard syllabus. With conceptual clarity, any test taker can crack the test with a high score.

Primary focus of the candidates must remain on preparing for NPAT based on the syllabus prescribed by SVKMs NMIMS.

Q:   Will NMIMS release NPAT syllabus?
A: 

NMIMS does not release the NPAT syllabus in detail. However, the official admission handout for NPAT exam indicates the sections from where the questions are framed in the exam. Additionally, the NPAT admission handout mentions the difficulty level of the NPAT exam is similar to the SAT exam. Candidates can refer to the SAT exam syllabus for all three sections to prepare for the NPAT exam.

NMIMS NPAT syllabus comprises three sections. All three sections have an identical weightage in terms of number of questions and pattern. The space below mentions the sectional overview for NPAT 2026 exam:

Q:   What are the subjects in NPAT exam for BBA?
A: 

SVKMs NMIMS conducts the NPAT exam with as many as three sections. NMIMS NPAT exam is a gateway for admission to Bachelor courses from the following streams:

  • Commerce
  • Econmics
  • Liberal Arts
  • Branding & Advertising
  • International Studies
  • Management

The NPAT exam syllabus for all the streams mentioned above is identical. Candidates need to answer questions from Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning while taking the NPAT exam. Three sections in NPAT exam is at par with any other bachelor's level competitive exam in the country.

Q:   What is the difficulty standards of the NPAT syllabus?
A: 

The NPAT difficulty is generally rated as easy to moderate, with some variation depending on the session. As per the NPAT exam analysis, the overall NPAT exam difficulty is less challenging than other competitive tests, provided basic concepts and time management are in place. The admission handout of the NPAT exam indicates the difficulty level similar to the SAT exam.

Q:   Are there any sectional time limit in NPAT exam?
A: 

As per the NPAT exam pattern, the exam has three sections compiling 120 questions. The total duration to answer all these 120 MCQs is 100 minutes. It is up to the test-taker to decide how much time he/she should allocate to each section. Since there is no pre-defined sectional time limit, candidates can navigate across questions as well as sections.

Although there is no sectional time limit, candidates must not forget that the weightage of questions and marks in each section is similar. Therefore, all three sections hold equal importance. It is critical to allocate time to each section based on the candidate's individual comfort and preparation. Candidates must keep the total time duration of the exam in mind and the time they need to answer questions from the next section. The time allocation towards one section must be based on the exam day strategy.

Q:   How many questions are there in NPAT exam?
A: 

As per the NPAT exam pattern, a total of 120 questions are asked from three exam sections collectively. Each section of NMAT exam has identIcal question weightage. The sections for NPAT exam with the number of questions are as follows:

  • Verbal Reasoning: 40
  • Logical Reasoning: 40
  • Quantitative Reasoning: 40

Candidates need to answer all the questions within 100 minutes. The 100 minute time-frame of NPAT exam is not divided into sectional time frames. Questions under the NPAT exam sections can be answered without any boundation of navigation.
