Best college in Assam to pursue Diploma in any Engineering course.

Placements: The mechanical branch has a total of 40 seats. The placement of this branch is fairly good compared to other branches. Mostly private companies come for placement. The placement in this college, including all the branches, is average. But not all students are offered placement.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the Assam Engineering Institute are average. It has good infrastructure, but it is not well maintained. The college has a good library, good labs, and is well equipped with various facilities. The college has a big campus.

Faculty: The college has supportive teachers who are quite helpful. Yes, the course is curriculum-relevant and will make the students industry-ready. The exams in college are quite easy if you prepare well, and exams are easy to pass. You can easily score 60 percent in exams.

Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in this subject. And I wanted to pursue this career.

One of the top technical colleges in the state, with good faculty members and average placements.

Placements: I am from the mechanical engineering 2011 batch. Almost 10% of students of our batch got placements on campus. The highest, lowest and average packages offered were 4.5 LPA, 2.5 LPA and 3 LPA, respectively. The top recruiting companies were Bajaj, Sun Pharma Laboratories Limited, Godrej Consumers and Marico. Almost 30% of students got internships. Management associate was the top role offered.

Infrastructure: As the college is under the state government, the infrastructure is average, but the availability of equipment and materials is quite good. The classrooms are non-AC and have ceiling fans. The library is good and has a wide range of books. Wi-Fi is available in the college, but it's restricted to use in some points. Overall, it's an average government college. The hostels are good, and there are 3 boys' hostels and one girls' hostel. Food quality is average. The canteen is good. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are average.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, well-qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. This college is one of the best polytechnic colleges in the state, and only merit students get selected for this college. For a student to be industry-ready, it depends on their dedication.

Other: I wanted to be a mechanical engineer, so I chose the top state government college to study. It is really good for me to study in this college. As I was in the hostel, I have learnt many things during hostel life. Out of three scholarship schemes, I got it only once. College week and sports event were good, and I enjoyed it. Overall, it was fantastic for me to get a chance to study in this college. I'm thankful to all teachers for helping me in every situation.

Placements: There are a total of 6 branches, all of which have a minimum of 70 to 80 students. It has Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Telecom, Computer, etc. The total minimum cutoff percentage to get admission in Assam Engineering Institute is 75%. If you are willing to do admission, then you can apply after HSLC. It has many good placements after the completion of your course.

Infrastructure: It is a very good Engineering Institute of Assam. It has all the facilities, and you can get good knowledge about engineering.

Due to late payment, a maximum of faculty members are transferred, and we need more faculty.

Placements: 5% get placed in our course. The highest package is 25 LPA, and the lowest is 6 to 7 LPA, depending on companies like Apollo, Dell, Hyundai, and Mahindra. 50% are placed in OIL, IOCL, and APDCL. Job roles are General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Junior Engineer, and Senior Engineer.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good, and labs are placed in a very systematic way. The quality of food we get is not great, and the medical facilities are okay. Sports and games are also okay, but we need one more field for our daily activities and an indoor stadium near the field.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Till now, the teaching quality is very good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students fully ready for the industry. It is not too difficult if we try our best in the semester exams at college. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: I love mechanical engineering because I love machines. It is very helpful. Everything is okay, but we need more faculty members.
