Admission to BFIT for the year 2025 is based on both merit and an entrance test. The institute follows two procedures for enrolment, the first being on a first-come-first-served basis, with a limited number of seats available. The second procedure involves an entrance test and interview, which are conducted in several cities.

Candidates who wish to seek admission through the entrance exam are required to travel to the city in which the exam is conducted. They need to bring the following documents along with them: an attested passport-sized photograph, proof of date of birth, and degree/marksheets.

My college experience good or bad.

Placements: In my course, 85% of students were placed in different types of companies. The highest package was 60 LPA, and the lowest package was 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Infosys, Wipro, etc. 80% of students got internships from companies like Wipro Infotech, etc.

Infrastructure: There was good infrastructure available in my course, like well-maintained classrooms, good computer labs, and Wi-Fi. In the hostel, good food quality was provided, and rooms were well-maintained. The mess and cafeteria were very good, medical facilities were also available, and there was a big ground for sports and games.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, well-qualified, and had good knowledge in Computer Science, with good teaching qualities. The curriculum was relevant and made students industry-ready. The semester examinations were average not too hard and not too easy. The passing percentage was 40%.

Other: I loved Computer Science, so I chose this course. It was easy to understand. I wish sports ground could have been better. Different types of events were held in our time, including freshers' party.

The journey of the college:- BFiT.

Placements: Almost everyone in my class got placed but only about half of us got internships from the college. The top recruiters were Airtel and Yokohama and they only hired for sales positions. The highest salary offered was 6 lakhs per annum and the lowest was zero. Everyone in our batch went for sales profiles only.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and buildings on the BFIT campus are awesome. The classrooms were good, but they lacked smart classes. The lab and library were good, and the library had plenty of books. The hostel life was good, and the wardens were supportive and provided good medical facilities.

Faculty: The faculty were great and helpful. The faculty were qualified enough, like PDH, and they had the best experience and methods. The semester exams were good knowledge testers. The level of the exams was good enough, and the pass percentage was 95%. Overall, it was a good experience.

Other: I'm pursuing BBA at BFIT Dehradun. This course has allowed me to gain knowledge regarding business and their administration. I think the course could be enhanced in the practical area. The event fest is organized every year which is a great way to showcase our skills.

Placements: About 70% placement offered by the college the highest package is 8 LPA the lowest package is 2 LPA Average package is 3.5 LPA Placement offered only in local companies Most of the students do Internships from outside the college provide internships in companies like Edutech, Career Buddy.

Infrastructure: The computer lab is quite nice and have proper working systems. Wi-Fi connection in system are good but mobile connection is not so fast and sometimes not available. Libraries are good with all collection on course related books. Hostel facility is not so good, you may have problem with meal.

Faculty: Faculty is quite nice and well qualified in IT department and are supportive. The cource and curriculum is relevant and subjects are related to our cource. There are limited subjects in each semester with practical classes. The level of our exams are moderate and related to the syllabus taught in classes.

Placements: The percentage of students placed from our course last year was about 60%. The highest package was about 11 lakh per annum, average package is 7 lakh per annum and the lowest is around 4-5 lakh per annum. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, google, etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course are much better. Wi-Fi, labs and classrooms work properly. Almost all the books are there in the library. The facilities in our hostel are provided at an affordable price. The quality of food in the mess is healthy and tasty.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful. Teachers are very friendly with the students. They clear all the doubts of the students. Teachers in our college are well qualified and knowledgeable. The course is curriculum relevant. The semester exams are not so much difficult.

It is the best college for journalism and mass communication.

Placements: Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amar Ujala and Dainik Jagran. Our college provides internship opportunities. Top roles offered are news anchor, content writer, scriptwriter, news writer, photographer, etc.

Infrastructure: Our college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, classrooms, and libraries. All facilities are good. The food served in the mess and canteen is good. They serve food three times a day with some snacks in the evening. Our college has a ground and students can play their favorite games like football, badminton, kabaddi, cricket, hockey, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are good and creative. They help students with every problem. Exams are not difficult to pass. Almost 98% of students pass exams. If you study for internal exams, it will help you in external exams.

Other: I opted for this course because I like to work in print media. Our college organises many events like Rangreza, etc., in September.

It is absolutely a good college for journalism, and studying here is worth it.

Placements: Every year, about 80% of students get placed in reputed companies. The top roles offered in our course are anchoring, reporting, camera handling, event management, public relations, content writing, editing and many more. It is a good platform for students who are interested in journalism. Moreover, the student capacity is 60 per batch, but due to covid, the admission rate has gone down.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are well maintained. We have a variety of labs and studios for journalism. BFIT has a well-maintained library with all the essential needs for students. The canteen and mess facilities are good, and they believe in bekathy diet. There are different mess facilities for veg and non-veg food items. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are very important in our college. It provides students with a better opportunity to look ahead in sports.

Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable and have great experience in journalism. We got a variety of teachers in every field (reporting, anchoring, event management, radio jockey, news anchor, editor, camera handler, system manager and many more qualities). It is not difficult to study journalism, you just have to be attentive to the happenings in the world, nation and society. Journalism is all about practicals. There are many theories of communication, the role of media in democracy, and many more.

Other: It is a full package of a three-year course. I was interested in journalism because it gives us many opportunities to enhance our communication skills, general knowledge, political awareness, social awareness, national and internal awareness.
