B.Sc. in PCM (Physics Chemistry Mathematics) - Batch of 2026
4.2
Helpful faculty members, strict about security, best event, fest, and library.
Placements: I am currently in TY placement from the start of FY. I can't get here from the plan degree but always have an approach for commerce students and BMS students about any from college. However, they are strict about the 75% attendance so if you think you have to do a job with study, I don't recommend taking admission here you will suffer a lot.
Infrastructure: I am student of B.Sc. mathematics so in my department, sources like books from library, computer lab, headphones, and Wi-Fi connection are available in huge quantity in mathematics department. Fees are affordable but good part is that there is scholarship so you will get your fee back.
Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified like HOD and some others are from IIT, assistant professors are qualified exams like CET-NET, etc. They are very excited to teach students who are hungry for knowledge, education, and are always curious and active. They are always ready to help.
Other: College conduct many fests to give students to show, explore, improve their talents. We also have NCC and NSS unit so it's the best opportunity to get in touch with it and connect with people and get a good network.

B. K. Birla is such a good college.
Placements: More than 50 students get placed in this course. As per the placement data available, 465 out of 1925 eligible students got placed at a median package of 2.16 LPA in 2024, and 245 out of 772 eligible students got placed at a median package of 2.10 LPA in 2024. There is no change in the number of placements and median package compared to the data from 2023.
Infrastructure: B. K. Birla College in Kalyan offers a range of infrastructure facilities for courses but does not provide on-campus hostel accommodation. Students who need hostel facilities seek private accommodation near the campus. They provide fast Wi-Fi, and labs are very clean.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful during lectures and exams. Lecturers are known for their use of practical examples and industry experience to enhance learning. They are approachable outside of lecture times. The college offers a wide range of courses and maintains a focus on student success, with many faculty members providing mentorship for projects and internships. Most faculty members are praised for their professionalism and supportive nature. Some variability in teaching quality is mentioned, particularly among newer or less experienced staff.
Other: This course is easy if you give time to exam preparation. Chemistry and Zoology are the best subjects.

I am satisfied because of the faculty, campus, food, and good professors.
Placements: There are 80% of students in microbiology. Placements are from top companies. Top roles offered in our course are based on tech specialized. Our college provides all things which we need for practical experience. It is great.
Infrastructure: We have classrooms, well developed labs, Wi-Fi, pc, library, reading room, etc. Quality of food is 10/10 Gaming room is good, We also have gcr for girls Library has section for girls and boys Washrooms has privacy for girls and for emergency everything is good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, good, and knowledgeable. Professors are very cool. They help students with everything. Semester exams are good if students study. The pass percentage is 18 out of 50.
Other: I love microbiology so I chose this course. I love to do practicals on that. Events are pretty good and not very crowded. The connection is on top. Scholarships are available here.

We had a really good infrastructure, nice college life, very helpful teachers, and coordinators.
Placements: My course had a batch of 40 students. We were not given much job opportunities. Almost half of the kids got internships in reputed hospitals. Roles offered were Jr. Nutritionist or Dietician. You can get a package of 5 LPA. Other students prefer to study ahead.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities provided were very good. The college has a good ambiance to study. The canteen has fresh food. There is an opportunity for good sports persons, and you get good opportunities. There is a nice big library and separate rooms for boys and girls.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful during lectures and exams. But the course will not make you industry-ready; it is only helpful in providing knowledge. There were a total of 6 semesters, and we had to complete 2 internships. Each semester had a minimum of 3 core subjects.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in the fitness industry.

Good infrastructure but average college life with a lot of fests every now and then.
Placements: There is no placement facility for basic sciences. There indeed is a placement cell but placement is not provided for basic science graduates. Even the internship is to be applied for by the students themselves. Teachers, as per their knowledge, may inform about various programs but not in an official manner.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the overall college is good. Plenty of space to roam and greenery. Availability of gym (although rundown) and a fair ground. Labs are well maintained and the buildings and washrooms are cleaned from time to time. Washrooms for disabled are available on each floor but there is no ramp available for them.
Faculty: The teachers are good at setting goals. Teachers have a conservative ideal student outlook. The curriculum is relevant as a fundamental science stream but just learning won't make you industry-ready; you need to have experience backing you up too. Exams are taken on time and the syllabus struggles to be on time.

Strong infrastructure and good faculty, but limited placement opportunities in IT.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Sc in Information Technology and currently I?m in my second year. The placement percentage can be 60%-90%. The highest salary package could be 5LPA-8LPA and the lowest and average package could be 3LPA-5LPA and 2LPA-5LPA. The top recruitment companies are Infosys,TCS, andWipro. Basically, 30-50% of students got internships in local IT firms. The top roles that are offered in the course are Software Developer andData Analyst.
Infrastructure: We have separate IT labs for the IT department with fast and wide Ethernet connections. It does not have hostel facilities, but the food quality of the mess and canteen is very good as they take proper measures for social hygiene. They also have medical facilities for emergency situations with proper medical staff. They also have proper equipment for sports and games as they provide sports events and competitions to encourage student participation.
Faculty: The teaching staff is well qualified and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is also very effective. Yes, the practical and projects make students prepare for industrial demands. The semester exams are not very difficult as their teaching methods are so good that students can learn easily. The pass percentage is between 60-80%.
Other: As there is more scope in IT fields in the future and I am passionate for learning coding and programming,it has a wide range of job opportunities . It updates us with the latest technologies in the market and helps us to understand them. Cultural fests are held in college for refreshments of students, good transport services help in better connectivity for students, availability of scholarships helps to support students financially , and opportunities for sports and clubs contribute to well-rounded education.

Review of B K Birla College.
Placements: Around 5–7% of students from our course were placed in companies. The highest package earned was 3 LPA (after the training period) and the lowest was 2.5 LPA (after the training period). Quality kiosks and Rigved IT were the companies for our course. 50% of students got internships in online mode and the companies were Unified Mentor, Eisystems, Coding Raja, and Oasis Infobyte. Initially, they offered us a trainee position, but after gaining experience for 6 months, they could shift us to a different role.
Infrastructure: First of all, it is a college. The facilities were good enough to study in a nice environment, the infrastructure was quite good, and there were separate labs for different courses. The library was also a good place for our study. The canteen of our college was also decent, and medical facilities are also offered by our college. They also have a keen interest in extracurricular activities like sports and games like chess, carrom, and badminton.
Faculty: The faculty members at our college were good enough to teach efficiently. They were experienced in their respective domains, which helped us gain more knowledge from them. Teaching quality was also good for a better understanding of the concept. I think the course curriculum needs to be upgraded more because, as we know, technologies are changing so fast. That's why students need to be prepared for the same. The exams in college were not that difficult if you studied sincerely.
Other: I liked math subjects during my school days. Firstly, I wanted to be admitted to B.Tech but there was no college near my residence, and after this, I saw only IT and CS which are related to the math domain. I opted for CS but the seats were filled, which drove me into this. The best thing about this course is that it covers most of the domains that are currently in-demand skills needed to get placed in a good company. The syllabus of this course can be a little more in-depth, which helps us to know the field effectively. Various events have been conducted nicely.
