Review of B.K. Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce.

Placements: College offers free lectures from known guest lecturers. Provides digital teaching, demo lectures, and tests for placement. The college also offers BCA in Cybersecurity, Data Science, IT, and Master courses in Zoology, etc. Many companies visit the college for placement.

Infrastructure: Staff emphasizes digital teaching and practical-based teaching methods. There is no hostel facility provided by the college, but students can stay as paying guests in nearby areas. There is a big and beautiful garden on campus. Uniforms are required for some fields. The library is available, including a PC section for studying, with separate rooms for girls and boys.

Faculty: Teachers are highly educated and friendly too. I would rank the teaching quality 3/5. Exams are conducted strictly. The college also provides scholarships for needy students who don't receive scholarships from the government. College timings are early morning for FY CS.

This college provides all facilities at an affordable price.

Placements: BK Birla College contains a variety of courses from 11th to M.Sc. Every year, almost 70% of students are placed. Top recruiting companies like L&T, TCS, etc., visit our campus. Many students are placed.

Infrastructure: Audiovisual and video-visual classrooms are available. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Labs are available for practical purposes. A gym is available. There are indoor and outdoor games available. The library and canteen are good. There are common rooms for boys and girls. There are parking facilities, a sports ground, computer labs, a building, a separate area for relaxation, and an auditorium for events.

Faculty: All teachers are well qualified. They are supportive and open-minded. Semester exams are very easy. Our teachers provide relevant books and ideas for out-of-box questions.

Other: Our college organises various events and fests like Techfest, Pravah, traditional days, and many social gatherings.

Students with good percentage have good chance to work with multinational companies .

Placements: Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Developer, Software Developer, Ethical Hacker, etc. roles are offered. We can get IT jobs in companies like Google and Microsoft and other multinational company. Mostly the highest package offered is 13 crore and the average is 4 Lacs. Mostly students with 75% and above get a good package of salary.

Infrastructure: Our college has a Wi-Fi connection and well-equipped labs and a good library. Also, the canteen food quality is good and also the college consists of various sports and games. In canteen, you get various food items to eat according to your taste. College has a good medical facility and first aid facilities.

Faculty: 35% is the pass percentage of any course. All teachers are Ph.D. graduates and teachers are also helpful. Every classroom consists of projector facilities. Also, the syllabus is vast for exams and it's quite hard to study different topics. Exams are conducted under strict supervision.

Other: Placement systems should be improved also there are lots of extracurricular activities like events and fests and etc.

Placements: Placements provided are average in our college because if the class contains 100 students then 40 students get placed and the remaining students don't get placed. The minimum salary package offered is 1.5 LPA to 6 LPA.

Infrastructure: Classrooms have smartboards to learn. Laboratories are well-equipped with everything required like good Wi-Fi connectivity. Library has well-managed books kept in the proper position. Students can borrow books from the library.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college have good knowledge. They teach with good examples which become easy to understand. The course curriculum depends on students to get industry-ready. Semester exams are tough. The pass CGPA is 3.5 and the percentage is 40%.

The college has good environment and friendly students.

Placements: About 75% of students were placed in different companies, and the rest opted for further studies. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, and Wipro came to our campus for placements. The lowest package offered was 1.8 LPA, and the highest package that a few students got was about 2.4 LPA.

Infrastructure: There are computer laboratories for students to perform practicals. There is also internet connectivity and projectors for smart teaching. The canteen is average, and the food is available at reasonable prices. There's also a library that has lots of books for students so that they can take the books for free.

Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and helpful. They do teach properly and guide you in your studies and career. The curriculum is according to the university, but it is good. The semester exams are easy to pass as the passing criterion is just 60%. You can reappear in KT if you fail.

I am satisfied with teachers but not with placements and infrastructure in 2019.

Placements: Only 10% of the students were placed on their own as our college invited only one company for campus placements. Others had to manage on their own. The salary package offered was around 2 LPA. Only Capgemini was invited by the college for both B.Sc IT and B.Sc CS courses. There is nothing for B.Sc CS.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Birla college is the best amongst other colleges in Kalyan. In the CS department, it was not a good experience as we were not provided with a fixed classroom, and we had to move here and there every day. Hostel facility is not available. Food in the canteen was average. IT labs are very small for 3 departments, i.e., CS IT, M.Sc IT and M.Sc CS. Students never got enough time on computers.

Faculty: Teaching staff members were the best, and students got to learn many knowledgeable things. I was somehow industry-ready. Teachers always focused on our study and wanted us to work on very intellectual projects in our final year to make our life easier.

Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to study computers and was curious about this course as well. This college has the best infrastructure in Kalyan. Hence, I have chosen this college.

College becomes autonomous.

Placements: The placements were good 2 years ago. But now the placement chances are very less because college has become autonomous. Companies like capgemini, wipro, Infosys & L&T visit the campus for placements. College is not bothered about students after getting autonomous status.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite attractive. A huge space for cars and bikes parking is allotted. Also classrooms are bigger than usual. Libraries are well managed. Wi-Fi is not Available for students personal use. Labs are available for B.Sc. IT CS but not for M.Sc. students. All PCs are not working properly. Canteen is not good because of seating arrangements are not available. & In canteen prices are very high; while there should be price low for students. Canteen food tastes ok. There hostel isn't Available. Gymkhana is small.

Faculty: Curriculum system is great but vast. The standard of teaching is quite good. Some faculty members are really good. Only students who study on their own do great job while other students have to put a lots of effort. Our faculty teachers are very helpful.

Other: Surrounding is clean and healthy always. Events conducted in college are good. Events & campus are enjoyable.
