PUMBA offers Master of Business Administration through various National-level and state-level exams inlcuding CAT,  CMAT,  MAT,  ATMA and MAH CET MBA to fulfil the eligibility criteria for final admission rounds. The university considers CAT cutoff for admission only for students who have a valid score. Candidates not meeting the cutoff are not considered for the further admission process.

For CAT, candidates must have an overall percentile of 85. Hence, General category candidates with 86 Percentile and above in CAT exam do stand a chance to get a seat in PUMBA. PUMBA achieved a placement rate of 80.7% during the 2024 placement season. The data tabulated below presents the same:

PUMBA cutoff 2023 for MBA, the minimum cutoff in MAH CET CAP Round 1 was 98.85 Percentile, while the closing cutoff stood at 99.99 Percentile for the General category students. So, going as per the last year cutoff, it is not possible to get into PUMBA at 92.02 Percentile. However, the university considers various other entrance exams like CAT, MAT and CMAT. For CAT, candidates must have an overall percentile of 85, for MAT it is 80 Percentile and for CMAT it is 95 Percentile. In case MHT CET scores are not getting the candidate into PUMBA, then they can apply through any of the other entrance exams. The aforementioned cutoffs are based on previous years and can be anticipated as future cutoffs. 

Getting into PUMBA can be possible through CAT, CMAT, MAT, and MAHCET exams. Based on PUMBA MBA cutoff 2024, the percentile for CAT, CMAT, MAT, and MAHCET stood at 95, 85, 80, and 99.95 for the General All India category candidates.

PUMBA does not accept CUET score/rank for admission to BBA course, Pune. To get admission in BBA programme, candidates have to clear the Online Entrance Examination (OEE) conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University. Candidates must pass 12th class with minimum 45% (40% for reserved category) to apply for Online Entrance Examination (OEE).

Candidates have to take online entrance exam (OEE) and based on their score in OEE, candidates will be shortlisted for admission process including document verification and payment counselling.
