The Balwant Sheth School of Architecture (BSSA) was founded in 2007 during a time of tremendous economic and cultural upheaval in India with the goal of educating architects who could meet the demands of a fast-changing global environment. BSSA has established itself as a leader in architectural education thanks to its emphasis on interacting with many different disciplines, encouraging practise that is research-oriented, and questioning conventional design ideas. The NMIMS BSSA is dedicated to giving students the best education possible and equipping them to lead in the architectural industry. The faculty of the school is highly qualified, committed, and enthusiastic about both teaching and research. Additionally, students gain from interactions with business people, the chance to hone their abilities through live projects and internships, and the development of critical thinking to solve problems in novel ways.

"At BSSA, we give our students a platform to engage with contemporary architectural practise and explore the complex relationships between design, technology, culture, and the environment," said Dr. Kaiwan Mehta, dean of the Balwant Sheth School of Architecture. Architects must grasp the conflicts that exist between many factors and participate in discussions on the future of citizenship and societies. By doing this, architects may improve their ability to understand the needs of the modern world and translate those needs into form, space, material, construction, drawings, and sites, so improving the world for all people.

SVKM’s NMIMS Balwant Sheth School of Architecture Invites Applications for March

April 5, 2021: NMIMS Balwant Sheth School of Architecture (BSSA) invites applications for its Master of Architecture (MArch) programme in Mumbai. The two-year programme, which has been approved by the Council of Architecture, gives students the opportunity to become experts and implement creative design techniques to push the limits of traditional architectural practices. The programme is carefully structured to combine academic and business experience, and students are taught through a series of multidisciplinary electives and immersive workshops.

Applicants must have scored a minimum of 50 per cent composite marks in a Bachelor of Architecture degree course or some other equivalent course recognised by the Council of Architecture. Admission to this course would not require an admissions exam. Prospective applicants may apply by registering on the official website and updating their related information.

The world of architecture is rapidly changing, with newer job opportunities emerging every few years. Aside from the conventional alternatives in urban planning and interior design, students studying architecture now have the ability to specialise in areas such as conservation architecture and sustainable or green architecture. As a result, the MArch curriculum at BSSA adopts a multidisciplinary approach to instruction and specializes in presenting students with hands-on experience.
