Students, when applying for admission to the BTech course, have to first meet the eligibility criteria (Passed PUC or Class 12 with 45% aggregate for General and 40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC, with Physics and Maths being compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Boi-tecnology/Computer Science/Electronics as optional subjects).
The institute accepts the KCET (45% of seats), COMED-K (30% of seats) entrance exam results. Students have to register on the official exam portal and attempt any one exam to get admission at BIT Bangalore.
After registering on the official portal and attempting the exam, students can then appear for the exam-specific counselling process or apply directly under the Management quota.
Students are then allocated a seat as per their preference and attained rank.
