My opinion on Bangalore Institute of Technology.
Placements: Our college invites many top companies for hiring. Many students are placed this year looking at their academic achievements. Some companies like Mercedes Benz, Toyota, etc., visited the college to hire students. Students from the 5th semester start to get their internships.
Infrastructure: The network inside the college is terrible. Students cannot find a single place where they will get a good network connection. Wi-Fi present in the college is just for decoration, and nobody knows the password of it. The only place where students can get the Wi-Fi is the stationary shop present inside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are the worst, and most of them do not really care if students are able to understand their teaching. They just come to the class speak and go, as they have no connection with the students. Exams are pretty easy. Faculty members either do not care about students writing exams and give students marks based on the quantity of the answers or make you miserable by detecting marks for the slightest mistake.

BIT is the oldest college with high placement and good facilities.
Placements: The placement chances are very high because it's an old reputed college which was built in the year 1979. As per my knowledge, if you maintain a good CGPA, then sure the placement will be done for sure. In this college, the placement chances are high for Computer Science students and Mechanical Engineering students. The highest package is 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: The lab is fully developed with new equipment, and the classrooms are clean and hygienic. The infrastructure of the college is quite less because it's an old school, but still, the campus is good. The quality of the food is good, and there are 3 canteens available.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers in this college have vast experience as it's an old college. They really help during exam time. The teaching quality is really good. The semester exams will not be that tough. There will be 2 semester exams in one year. You will be given one more chance if you are ill or have sports-related activities.

Good placements and faculty.
Placements: Good placements in college. Most of my batch mates were placed and many were interested in higher studies. As our batch, the placements were mainly for Cisco, Infosys, and Bosch. The highest was 15 LPA/annum, the lowest was 6 LPA/annum. Many of the internships were provided by the college.
Infrastructure: Labs were well-equipped, food is good in the canteen. I have no idea about the hostel and mess food. A certain amount of support is provided by the college towards sports and games. Since there is a hospital next to the college, no worries about medical issues. The college has first aid provided on every floor.
Faculty: Teachers were well-versed in the subjects they taught. They were more interested in teaching than completing the syllabus. The college falls under VTU, so the college semester ends depend on the general VTU timetable. Most of the students pass exams, but if you have a subject backlog, you can clear it during the next semester.
Other: I chose it because of its future scope and my interest in it. I would like if most of the subjects were updated rather than the age-old syllabus. The college is crowded as it provides various degrees, PhDs, and MBA, MCA courses. Scholarships are provided for SC/STs and bright students.

Quite a good college but the campus is small.
Placements: Due to recession, placements aren't going great as such. But it's certainly better compared to other colleges. And concerning the department of mechanical engineering, only 65%–70% of the 2024 batch students are placed. Top recruiters are Toyota, Robert Bosch, Damler, L&T, etc. Those interested in technical jobs can opt for their interviews too.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite average with respect to the fees we pay. Some equipment in the lab, like CNC machines, doesn't really work properly. The library is really good, and there is a digital library as well. Also, it has Wi-Fi. BOYS HOSTEL: Heard that food is quite average and the facilities aren't that great for the amount you pay for it. And it is on the college campus itself. GIRLS HOSTEL: It's located at JP Nagar 7th phase. The facilities and food are good. The college is quite small, and too many buildings are there. As a result, there is no space for sports activities, but a volleyball court is there in the quadrangle of the main block. Medical facilities are good, as the KIMS hospital and RVS Dental College are in the same compound.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are knowledgeable and helpful and encourage students to participate in co-curricular activities and help them in their overall personality development. This college is affiliated with VTU for our batch and for the coming batch, i.e., for the 2024 batch, it'll be autonomous under VTU.
Other: As there is no ground in the college, sports facilities are limited, and some of the sports are carried out on the National College Ground or Makkalakoota Ground. There is an annual sports day conducted every year. There are no other festivals as such; only Manthan is conducted annually. Sports and co-curricular activities aren't given as much importance as curricular. Hackathons are conducted by various departments occasionally.

Placements: 80% of the students were placed during this year.
The lowest package is 5 LPA, and the highest is 54 LPA.
There are several top recruiting companies.
Each and everyone got an internship in companies, as it is mandatory to achieve the internship certificate to pass out from college.
Infrastructure: The college is well-infrastructured and well-maintained with well-trained faculty members. The faculty members are practical-based teachers who adopt real-life examples in engineering. The hostel is very nice and one can easily get admitted to hostel without any fear. The hostel food is very hygienic and health-based. Wi-Fi and a digital library are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well trained and well qualified; they choose practical-based teaching for students by applying real-life applications in engineering; the course curriculum is relevant; and they are designed in a manner where students can easily become involved with the curriculum.

Our college is one of the top in Karnataka and good in placements.
Placements: It is one of the best engineering colleges in Bangalore and ranked 7th in Karnataka, and top companies like Benz, Samsung, and Amazon come for campus recruitment. 85% of students get placed every year. In our college, the highest package offered is INR 45 lacs, the average is INR 12 lacs, and the lowest is INR 4 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, labs have good infrastructure, and classrooms are well equipped with good infrastructure. In our college, they provide us with Wi-Fi, and there are two libraries in our college with a good atmosphere and a variety of books.
Faculty: When it comes to the faculty, every faculty member is excellent and disciplined in teaching with high knowledge. Teachers share more curriculum programs, and when it comes to the semester exams, these are conducted in a very strict manner because our college comes under VTU.

A turning point that everyone wanted but not how you wished it would be .
Placements: Around 40 percent students were placed. The highest package was INR 25 LPA, the lowest was INR 3.5 LPA and the average was INR 7.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Mercedes, Hitachi, Amazon, Google, Infosys, Microsoft, Adobe etc. Around 50 percent of the students had got internship in companies like Mercedes and Hitachi.
Infrastructure: There was Wi-Fi, library, indoor games facility, clubs, basketball court etc. Classrooms were average on some floors. Our college is a 7 floors building. As there is a hospital next to our college, there was good medical facility nearby. As I am a day scholar and as per what I have heard from my friends, the hostel and mess facilities were average. I would recommend economical and good PGs available nearby.
Faculty: The college is accredited to VTU Belagavi and the curriculum was almost relevant to the present day. The lecturers were good in teaching and were always supportive for the students, only thing is don't mass bunk and make the lecturers angry. That's the only thing. The exams are sometimes difficult and we always need to be prepared a month before the exams. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I wanted to learn more about Automobiles, hence I chose mechanical. The college is best when it comes to conducting fests and cultural programs.

It is a good college in terms of studies and placements.
Placements: There are 90 students in the mechanical branch. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA and the lowest was 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, TCS, Bosch, etc. About 70% of students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: The library is big enough. We also have Wi-Fi and a reading room in the library. Many classrooms have projectors. The quality of the hostel is very bad. Rooms are too small, and 4 or 5 students stay in one small room. The quality of the food is moderate. The whole hostel building is covered with cameras.
Faculty: Teachers are cooperative and help us in our studies. They provide us with notes and PDFs. The course curriculum is relevant. It provides theoretical knowledge. Semester exams are quite difficult. The pass percentage is 35%.

If you are talking about first semester courses, then it is somewhere around August 2nd week. It varies from August first to second week. Classes start after all the orientation is completed.

Management quota admission and fee cost is not advertised openly by any of the colleges/universities across India as being a paid seat it totally depends on the discretion of the college authorities. Please contact the college authorities for all the details.
