As a result, the college has to follow all the guidelines and policies issued by the state of Andhra Pradesh regarding admissions to engineering colleges in the state. For 70% of the intake of the college only those students who have cleared the entrance exam for engineering conducted by the state of Andhra Pradesh called EAMCET, are eligible. In addition, the students have to score at least 45% marks in the 12th examination in physics, chemistry & mathematics in the state board of Andhra Pradesh or any equivalent board. For students belonging to the reserved category, this minimum qualification is reduced to 40%. The students after clearing the EAMCET, have to register themselves on the centralised admission process portal through which only admissions to all the engineering colleges in the state take place. As a current hostel student at Bapatla Women's Engineering College, I can honestly say the food in our mess is really good. It's clean, hygienic, and tastes like proper home-cooked meals. They use fresh vegetables, and the quality is consistently maintained. What I like the most is that even our faculty and the principal eat the same food, which shows the trust they have in it. We get evening snacks too, and on Saturday nights, they even play movies using a projector, which makes hostel life more fun. The mess is spacious, and the staff keeps everything very neat.
