It has a nice campus, decent facilities, and improving placement opportunities.
Placements: From BIST Purulia, around 70 percent of students get placed. The highest package offered is 6 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. The lowest package is 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course include TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Cognizant. Nearly 60 percent of students got internships in IT firms. Common roles offered are developer, analyst, and support engineer.
Infrastructure: My department has good facilities, including Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, computer labs, and access to a well-stocked library with books and digital resources. Labs are functional and useful for practical learning. The hostel provides basic but clean rooms with regular water and decent Wi-Fi. Mess food is average but hygienic. The canteen offers affordable snacks. Medical support includes first-aid and access to a nearby hospital. The college also provides sports facilities like cricket, football, volleyball, and indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is clear and supportive. The course curriculum is relevant and covers fundamentals needed to become industry-ready with practical labs. Semester exams are moderately difficult, neither too easy nor too tough. Many students pass with a pass percentage of around 70-80 percent.
Other: I am from the BIST Purulia. I chose this course because I am interested in technical skills and good career opportunities. The best parts of the course are the practical labs, supportive teachers, and the exposure to projects. I wish it would provide more industry-focused workshops and updated lab equipment. The college conducts events, seminars, and an annual fest that students enjoy. The campus crowd is friendly and active in extracurricular activities. Connectivity to the town is decent. The surrounding environment is peaceful. Scholarships are available for eligible students. Overall, the campus life is good.

Decent course and supportive staff, but it needs modern upgrades.
Placements: 60% students are placed from campus drives. The highest package is 7.2 LPA, the lowest is 2.4 LPA, and the average is 3 LPA. Top recruiters are Axis Bank and ICICI Bank (mainly banking/finance firms). 95% students reported getting internships, many with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. Frequent roles offered are banking-staff, cashier/clerk or entry-level operations/manager-trainee positions.
Infrastructure: The BCA department has Wi-Fi, computer labs, classrooms and a library. The campus has a canteen with decent food. Reviews about hostels are mixed, with some saying none are available. Sports events are held yearly, but medical facilities are basic.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful and qualified, and teaching quality is considered decent. The BCA curriculum is relevant and covers industry basics. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and most students pass with a high pass rate overall. Would recommend.
Other: I chose BCA because it offered a clear path into tech and steady opportunities. The best parts are the practical computer labs and approachable teachers. I wish the course had stronger industry exposure and updated technical modules. Campus events and small fests add some energy, though the crowd is fairly quiet. Connectivity to the town is manageable, and the surroundings are simple. Scholarships are limited but available for eligible students. Extracurricular activities exist, but more variety and frequency would make campus life livelier.

Good college at a reasonable course fee and good at placement.
Placements: Around 60% of students got placed from college campus interview. The highest package is 7.2 LPA and the lowest is 2.4 LPA. Average package is around 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, and many arts. Around 95% of students got internships in various companies like ICICI and Axis Bank. Specially in banking, we are offered roles as manager and cashier.
Infrastructure: The college campus is around a 1-acre area. There is only one building having around 60 classrooms, hallrooms, and office rooms. There's a disciplined campus. Classes are regular and teachers are strict but also friendly. There's 24/7 free Wi-Fi at campus. There are 3 computer labs for BCA students and 2 for BBA students. There's also a library having all the important and needed books there. There's no hostel but a canteen facility is available. The food quality is very good at a reasonable price. There's an inter-college sports program every year and also another college campus sports program every year.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and very good. The college was started in 2001 and most of the teachers are from then. There are some teachers who studied in the same college. Every teacher is experienced and skilled. At this college teachers make the students perfectly industry-ready. Syllabus is decided for the students which is easier to understand. The exams are not too easy and not too hard. There's also mi-sem facility.
