Best diploma engineering college in West Bengal.
Placements: Our college, Birla Institute of Technology, provides a great placement rate of 90% and the remaining students chose higher studies. Average salary offers in diploma engineering are around 3.4 LPA, the highest package is 4.8 LPA, and the lowest package is 2.2 LPA. In the diploma in mechanical engineering, top recruiting companies are Tata, Hitachi, Larsen and Tubro, etc. Internships in this course are mandatory, students take internships form Gunshell factor, Railway, NTPC, DVC, WBSCDL, etc. For diploma engineering students, they mostly receive offers for quality control officer, supervisors, service engineer, and junior engineer.
Infrastructure: Birla Institute of Technology provides a great facilities and infrastructure for. Wi-Fi is usually available throughout the campus. Hostel facilities provided only for female candidates, food quality, and other amenities vary greatly between institutions. College hostels offer spacious, well-ventilated rooms with others basic accommodation. Food quality in canteens is hygiene and tasty. This college is very good for polytechnic students.
Placements: Almost 95% of students get placed in our course from Birla Institute of Technology. The highest salary package offered is 10.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 1.4 LPA. Tata Motors, Tata Voltas, and, JSW Steel are top recruiting companies. More than 60% of students got internships at Booster. The top role offered in our college is an assistant engineer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available but not for students. It is available for office work. There are many labs in our college but for 1st year, there is no chemistry lab. Otherwise, many labs are in good condition, and some are in bad condition. At Birla Institute of Technology, there is the only girls' hostel on the college campus. The food quality is good here. There are many messes outside the college for boys and girls separately.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful to students. They have a wonderful quality of teaching. They have knowledge and they share it with students. Students have done many jobs in workshops, so all of them are ready for the industry. Semester examinations are very tough for students. The passing criteria are 4.0 CGPA.
Other: Most percentage of students get placed in this course from our college. The best thing about this course is that we can learn how all mechanics work. I want to know about all mechanics working formulas. Events like Saraswati Puja, Biswakarma Puja, and freshers fests are held in our college.

Birla Institute of Technology has a good infrastructure. Labs are small with old lab instruments.
Placements: In our college, 80-90% of students get jobs through placements in many companies. My seniors are getting jobs through my college with a great package, with their numbers. Our college does everything to provide internships for students, maybe paid or free of cost.
Infrastructure: We have a canteen, more classrooms, a library, free Wi-Fi, and everything. We played every day at break time and enjoyed playing cricket and badminton. Every winter, it arranges a small football competition.
Faculty: Our college teachers are very helpful. They always help me to understand everything. We have teachers for all subjects. In labs, they help us to understand all things. They make us learn every single thing with more information, and also practically. We have good lecturers and a principal. Everyone is so great here.

No, you cannot take BITSAT in 2026 if you passed the 12th grade in 2024. The eligibility criteria for BITSAT allows candidates to appear only in the year they pass their 12th and the subsequent year. If you are repeating 12th exam, you should do it for all the subjects to pass 12th again as mentioned in the BITSAT brochure. If you take improvement exams in PCM/PCB only or only in few subject/s, you are not eligible. I passed 12th exam in 2024. Am I eligible to appear for BITSAT-2025?
