Admission to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses at Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Management and Research is based on scores obtained in BMAT or BUMAT exams. The BUMAT exam is for BBA and BCA course. It is a 2.5-hour-long test carrying 200 questions from English, Mathematics and Reasoning areas. Preparations for BUMAT must start ideally months before the date of examination. Candidates must focus on their preparation six to eight months prior to the exam date. For UG programmes candidates are shortlisted depending upon their 10+2 marks from any recognised board. Once Final List is released Candidates are requested to check their details whether they are selected or not. Once selected a candidate should pay their mentioned fee as a successful completion of their admission.

For regular category students, the BMAT exam is a must, along with GD and PI. Selection is done according to the merit list prepared from the marks they scored in the BMAT exam of 200 marks +GD+PI. Whereas, NRI/Foreign/PIO/OCI/INSTITUTIONAL QUOTA students are selected with a separate merit list prepared depending upon their merit category.
