NLU Delhi Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

BA LLB (Hons)

Class 12th pass candidate with at least 50 percent marks. 

Foreign candidates should have completed their (10+2) degree or other equivalent degree with a minimum of 65% marks

LLM 

Candidates should have passed a three-year LLB or a five-years LLB degree from any recognised law school in India with at least 55% marks (50% marks if belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories). 

Those appearing in the final year examination of their bachelor degree are also eligible to apply. But, they should submit the proof at the time of final admission.

SC/ST and Person with Disability (PwD) category candidates need equal to or more than 45% marks to apply.

NLU Delhi AILET 2026 Entrance Exam

The National Law University Delhi conducts the AILET 2026 exam every year. AILET 2026 registration are ongoing on the official AILET Website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The AILET 2026 registration will be done for admission to 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programs. The AILET 2026 exam will be conducted on December 14, 2025, 2 PM to 4 PM

NLU Delhi BA LLB Fees for Foreign Nationals

The tuition fee payable by the candidates belonging to SAARC or non-SAARC country will be as under. Other fee will be same as applicable to Indian students. 

Q:   When will AILET 2026 registration start?
A:

AILET 2026 registration started from August 07 2025 on the official AILET portal - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The exam date for All India Law Entrance Test is December 14, 2025. The AILET 2026 application form will be released for admission to BA LLB, LLM and PhD in Law courses.

Q:   Can I change the exam centre once the application process gets over for AILET exam?
A:

No. One cant change the AILET Exam centre once the application form is submitted online. Candidates have to choose options of exam centre while applying for the exam. The exam centre option is filled during the final registration for AILET. Candidates can declare maximum 3 options for exam centre. AILET will let candidates know about name and address of exam centre through the admit card. The admit card for AILET has to be carried to the exam centre else candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

My son got 67.25 marks in AILET 2024 and got All India Rank 4776 and SC Category Rank 148. Is there any possibility to get seat, is there any 2nd phase Counseling or is there any payment seat, if so what is the procedure and fee for payment seat.
