MMS in Heritage Management

MMS in Heritage Management is a full-time course offered by Ahmedabad University. The duration of this course is two years. After passing graduation in the relevant stream, candidates can apply for the course. This course is divided into four semesters and has 72 credits.

In the MMS (Heritage Management) course, the university covers the topics around aspects of living heritage, community-centered approaches to heritage management, tourism and sustainable development. This course is taught at the following four levels:

1. Foundation courses
2. Specialisation courses
3. Practicum, and Research methodology
4. Thesis, or project

Master at Management Studies is considered as the unique course at Centre for Heritage Management Ahmedabad University. The minimum programme credit is 72. This course is the first of its kind in South-Asia and internationally that emphasises a critical understanding of heritage and a holistic approach to sustainable development, connects living heritage and business entrepreneurship; and provides the tools to address global changes such as economic crisis, pandemic crisis and climate change.

Candidates who are willing to get admission to Master of Management Studies Master in Heritage Management course at Ahmedabad University must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. Below are the key eligibility requirements for aspirants to achieve:

• Pass graduation minimum 50% aggregate in the relevant stream
• Candidates who will be given their examination by July 15, 2024 and their results will be declared by September 31, 2024 may also apply.
• International candidates along with those who have valid work experience are also eligible to apply.

It's not so tough to get admission in Centre for Heritage Management Ahmedabad University as the only thing requires to get admission is to crack the entrance test of the college which is a bit easy. The entrance test has two sections.

• Section 1 - 'Understanding of Heritage Sector'
• Section 2 - 'Experience Related to Heritage Sector' – candidates may share relevant information from their academic and professional experience, and upload supporting documents. While this is not mandatory for all, it will support the application if applicable.

Candidates who tend to fill the application form for MMS programme at Centre for Heritage Management, Ahmedabad University must pay an application fee of INR 1,200. The fee must be submitted at the time of filling the form.
