My college journey as a student.
Placements: Placements were good. There was a separate placement cell in our college, which was managed by a dedicated person. They invited many companies to recruit final-year students. Many companies visited the college for recruitment, including ICICI, Oracle, TCS, Infosys, Mahindra, Amazon, and others. More than 80% of students got placed every year. Companies conducted interview sessions and group discussion tests to select students. They offered packages based on students' performance. The average package was around 4.5 LPA, and the highest package ranged from 25 to 28 LPA. Internship opportunities were also available for students to gain experience in the changing market.
Infrastructure: There were separate hostels for boys and girls. Both shared and separate rooms were available. The rooms were of average standard, with an uninterrupted supply of electricity and water at reasonable charges. The mess food was good and hygienic, with separate charges. The hostel was also secured by guards.
Faculty: Faculty members were professionals in their respective fields. They were experienced teachers and held PhDs in their respective fields. Most teachers explained even the toughest topics with ease. They were friendly and always ready to clear our doubts and help students. The exam structure was flexible. We had to take two exams per semester. One was the mid-semester exam, and the other was the end-semester exam. The mid-semester exam was worth 40 marks. The end-semester exam was worth 60 marks. The course was updated according to market trends. It was designed to address real-world market problems. The focus was more on practical learning than theory. In each semester, we received assignments. That helped us apply our knowledge to real world tasks. The course material was practical, and teachers were very good.
