No, unfortunately those scores fall short of meeting the expected MHT CET RANK range (approx.2,000-3000) necessary for an SC candidate in Computer Engineering.

To get lateral entry into B.Tech CSE at COEP Tech in 2025, you must have completed a Diploma in engineering with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) and studied Maths. Admission is done through Maharashtra's CAP counselling based on Diploma marks. Only 10% of total seats are for lateral entry, so aim for a strong Diploma score.

Once I look at your information—50.83% in 12th grade and scores below average in MHT CET—it is likely that admission to B.Tech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at COEP would be almost impossible. Here's why:Eligibility CriteriaAccording to COEP, those applying in Open category must have a minimum aggregate of 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in their 10+2 qualification. For reserved categories, 40% of the posts are needed. Being trained in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you do not qualify for the PCM admission requirement stated by COEP. MHT CET and JEE Main exams are the main ways to be accepted into the institute. The cutoff trends for B.Tech Robotics and AI in COEP five years agoThe final percentile for the General Open (GOPENS) group in 2024 was almost 99.53. The JEE Main Cutoff for the same program was up to a closing rank of 7,717 in the All India category.

According to my knowledge with a score of 150 out of 200 in the MHT CET, you have a strong chance of securing admission to COEP Technological University in Pune, especially in certain engineering branches, maybe not for top branch. Top branches like Computer or IT are highly competitive, so admission there isn't guaranteed. You'll likely get other core branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical depending on cutoffs. If you wish for Computer Engineering you need a percentile of 99.8+.

The admission process for BTech course at both colleges, VJTI Mumbai and COEP Pune is almost similar, in which candidates are required to complete their Class 12 from Science stream with an aggregate of 45% Moreover, candidates are selected for COEP BTech admission and VJTI Mumbai BTech admission based on their performance in national-level exams such as JEE Main or MHT-CET. Moreover, the NIRF ranking for COEP Pune in Engineering category is 77, and VJTI Mumbai lies between the ranks of 101 and 150. If we consider the factor of seating capacity, then COEP Pune offers 758 seats over 10 specializations, and VJTI Mumbai offers 540 seats over nine specializations. Conclusively, it is really hard to compare which institution it is easier to get admissions into for BTech courses. Therefore, candidates can choose any of the colleges according to their budget, career goals, and location preference. However, an important thing to note is COEP Pune has a better NIRF ranking than VJTI Mumbai.
